Dr. Gay is a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy, with 17 years of clinical experience. He received his Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1999 and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Shenandoah University in 2012. He is certified in the Mulligan Concept of joint mobilization, and has had training in the McKenzie Method of neck and low back pain care. His focus is on spine, joint pain, and joint and muscle injury rehabilitation. Treatment techniques include a combination of manual therapy interventions and instruction in corrective movement exercises that re-train the body's muscles to produce normal and pain-free movement. Throughout his career Dr. Gay has seen this approach produce important and significant improvements not only for those suffering from pain, but also for those who wish to prevent pain and optimize their movement in daily activities.
