👶🏻 CRAWLING UPDATE 👶🏻

All of my hard work and encouragement of getting Teddy to crawl has paid off! We officially have a crawler and he has already gotten into the dog’s water bowl too many times 🤪

I just got a good question from a mom the other day. Her baby is on the verge of skipping crawling and going straight to standing with support. This can be good for developing leg strength and proprioception, but I emphasized the importance of getting her baby on all four’s. ➡️ Make it fun and exciting! Have a stimulating toy that they have to reach for, help assist leg movement while they try to move their arms..there are a ton of tricks! And if you’re not sure what to do, I’m happy to help you and your baby! 🤗

Meanwhile, pray that Teddy doesn’t start drinking out of the dog water bowl soon 🤣

🏋🏻‍♀️ WE 🩷 WEIGHTS 🏋🏻‍♀️

The majority of people that come see us at Magelitz Clinic Conservative Medicine are in pain. Most people are very surprised, and almost hesitant, that we grab weights quickly during our treatment sessions. 😬

Why?

Weight helps ground you ➡️ which help stabilize your body ➡️ and calms down your nervous system ➡️ then decreases pain

There’s a method to the madness, you just have to trust us 🤝

My favorite statement at the end of a treatment, especially with patients that are not used to using weights, are “wow I actually feel better” 🤯

Since becoming a mom of two, women’s health/pelvic floor therapy has become my passion 💕. With an ortho background (I am SFMA and Herman & Wallace certified), I am trained to asses movement from head to toe, with a specialty in pelvic floor assessment. 📝

🤘🏼RAD DADS🤘🏼

I’d be a very one-sided therapist if I never included the awesome dads that are out there 👊🏼. This one has a sweet lil baby at home and already having some left sided neck and shoulder pain from holding his newborn nugget and looking down so much at her precious face! 🤗

Totally understandable ➡️ but totally treatable‼️

Common pain for new dads to experience:
🔹neck
🔹shoulder
🔹low back
🔹with bending, lifting, and standing with baby

Nothing that some cupping, manual treatment, foam roller use, core and postural exercises can’t fix 💪🏼

Mom’s Night Out Ep. 6 at was SO MUCH FUN!! I was so preoccupied that I didn’t get any pictures with the music instructors 😅

Thank you so much Emma and GraceAnne from Music Therapy Connections for putting on this Mommy and Me Music Night! All the kids had such a great time, this was the perfect snowy activity for our littles 🤗 Cody was front and center listening to the music, so you know he loved it ❤️💚
