Ever been told to model language at home and think “what does that even mean?”

Modeling is essentially ~showing~ your child how to do something, rather than demanding it. It is a powerful way to teach language naturally, and can take many forms. It can fit in some way into basically every part of your day! You’re probably already doing it more than you know.
