Transforming retail spaces is one of our specialties and passions. After a career in corporate retail, nothing excites me more than bringing a brand’s vision to life in a way that’s intentional, elevated, and built to sell.

So when Kirsten asked me to design her permanent jewelry studio, I couldn’t say yes fast enough. already had such a strong aesthetic that the design direction felt effortless — and so much fun.

As I designed the space, I made sure every angle was:

✨Photo-worthy, creating a space that shines both in person and on camera 
✨Intuitively designed for shopping, with product placement and flow that naturally support higher sales 
And of course, I had to get a little something for myself — two anklets that I’m obsessed with! Perfect gifts for any occasion - hint 🎄 is coming

BIG NEWS Yesterday we announced it… WE’VE BEEN SCOUTED! We are so happy we seriously can’t stop smiling. This moment has been two years in the making, and it still feels surreal.

Here’s the backstory:

Sept 2023: We move here. I’m wandering Hilltop (totally lost) and spot for the first time. The book was gorgeous, the design stunning—and let’s be real, I needed all the local recs I could get. I looked at Rich and said, “Mark my words, one day I’ll be in here!” Deep down, I knew I was working toward making CarMELLA my full-time passion, and in that moment, it felt like a little glimpse of where I wanted to go.

2024: Still not ready to take the leap… but then, plot twist: our home was featured in the Guide when asked to use our home (swipe to see her ad). (Fun fact: they were also the very first business we ever hired out of the Scout Guide!)

2025: Dreams do come true—we’re officially featured on the Need to Know page with 3 other most amazing businesses and new besties
