POV: driving to work wondering how many people are out here doing Kegels… completely wrong 👀

Like are we squeezing glutes? holding our breath? pushing instead of lifting??

If you’ve ever been told “just do your Kegels” without actually being shown how… this is your sign 😅

Your pelvic floor deserves better than guesswork.

✨ DM me “KEGEL” to schedule an appointment and learn how to do them correctly!

POV: You hear “pelvic wand” and immediately panic 😳
…and then realize it’s actually a game changer 🙌

As a pelvic floor PT, I get it — trying something new (especially internally) can feel intimidating. But tools like the pelvic wand can help you actually release tension, decrease pain, and reconnect with your body in a way stretching alone just can’t.

The best part?
Once you learn how to use it safely and intentionally… it goes from “absolutely not” to “wait why didn’t I try this sooner??”

You deserve options. You deserve relief. And you deserve to feel in control of your body 💛

✨ Curious if a pelvic wand is right for you? Let’s talk.

You don’t need to sit perfectly straight all day to have good posture.

In fact… trying to hold the “right” posture all day often just creates more tension in your neck, back, and pelvic floor.

Here’s the truth:

👉 Good posture isn’t one perfect position.
👉 It’s any posture your body can move freely out of.

Your body thrives on variety and movement, not rigidity.

So instead of stressing about sitting perfectly, try this:

• Shift positions
• Stand up regularly
• Move your body throughout the day

Your tissues will thank you.

✨ The best posture is the next one.

Save this for the next time someone tells you to “sit up straight.”

Follow for pelvic health + movement education that actually makes sense.

Still smiling after getting to speak with the incredible women in prenatal yoga teacher training with Pear Maternal Mind & Body. 🤍

It was such an honor to be invited to share about pelvic floor health and how we can better support pregnant and postpartum bodies. Spaces like this—where movement professionals are learning how to care for women more deeply and intentionally—give me so much hope for the future of maternal health.

These women are going to impact so many moms in the most meaningful ways. Grateful to have been a small part of their journey. ✨

“Tight hamstrings” aren’t always tight… sometimes they’re just weak and overworking. 👀

Your hamstrings help your glutes extend your hips. When they’re weak, they can feel constantly “tight” because they’re working overtime trying to stabilize and help out. Stretching alone won’t fix that — they need strength too.

One of my favorite ways to work them:
✨ Bridges with feet on a foam roller
➡️ Add a hamstring curl (rolling the foam roller in)
➡️ Progress to a single-leg version

This challenges your hamstrings through both strength and control, which is often what they’ve been missing.

If your hamstrings always feel tight no matter how much you stretch… it might be time to strengthen them instead.

💬 Save this to try later and leave a comment if you want more exercises like this!

Happy International Women’s Day to the incredible women in our community. 💜

Today is a reminder that women deserve to feel strong, supported, and heard in their bodies—in healthcare, in motherhood, in athletics, in work, and in every stage of life.

As pelvic health physical therapists, we see every day how powerful it is when women are given the education, care, and space they need to thrive. From pregnancy and postpartum to menopause and everything in between, your health matters. Your symptoms matter. You matter.

Here’s to advocating for women’s health, breaking the stigma around pelvic health, and helping women feel confident in their bodies. ✨

Your body was made to birth — but that doesn’t mean you have to “just wing it.” 👏

Pelvic floor physical therapy can help you prepare your body for birth by:
✨ Improving pelvic floor coordination (yes, it needs to relax and strengthen)
✨ Teaching effective pushing mechanics
✨ Optimizing hip + pelvic mobility
✨ Reducing back, hip, and pelvic pain
✨ Practicing breath strategies for labor
✨ Helping you feel confident instead of fearful

Birth is a marathon — and preparation matters. 💪

Whether you’re newly pregnant or in your third trimester, it’s not too early (or too late) to support your body.

Ready to feel strong, informed, and prepared?
DM us “BIRTH” or click the link in bio to schedule your pelvic floor PT session 🤍

“Patient: I’m not ready for labor.”
“Me: Yes you are.” 👏✨

Because here’s the truth: your body was designed to do this — and we can absolutely help it feel more prepared, confident, and supported along the way.

Using a large yoga ball for labor prep can help:
🤍 Improve pelvic mobility
🤍 Encourage optimal baby positioning
🤍 Reduce tension in the pelvic floor
🤍 Practice movement-based coping strategies
🤍 Build confidence before the big day

Labor isn’t about being perfectly ready — it’s about having tools. And that’s exactly what we’re practicing. 💪

If you’re in you’re pregnant and want to feel stronger, calmer, and more prepared for birth, pelvic floor PT can help.
