💊Medication Monday- where we highlight different medications that can increase your fall risk based on their side effects!💊
Today we are highlighting Prednisone, a commonly used corticosteroid to treat inflammation, asthma, allergies and more!
Some of the common side effects include blurred vision, dizziness, headache, and numbness/tingling in arms & legs. It is important to be aware because continuous steroid use can cause weakening of tendons, bones, and ligaments. Be sure to ask your doctor or physical therapist for strengthening exercises or be on the lookout for some of our upcoming classes or Timeless Living® runnings!
Stay tuned each Monday as we highlight other medications to keep you aware of other potential fall risks!
