Love seeing this mother and daughter dialogue. You can tell that there has been a fostering of emotional safety for a healthy discussion around s*x(although they never said that word).

Now that would be my feedback- don’t dumb down the language (ie use cute terms, like “titi” to describe body parts). Teach your kids the proper terms for their body parts and call it what it is ( ie- say s*x or intimacy, not “do IT” or hump). This helps to normalize, encourage comfort and healthy communication in relationships regarding s*x and intimacy.

The Virginia Counselors Association conference has been a great time of learning, collaborating, networking, and fellowshipping. It was awesome to be able support a dear colleague Dr JaNae Taylor being honored for the wonderful work she has and continues to do. Also great learning from and supporting Danielle L McDowell and other peers during their training sessions. Even won several prizes!
