I had an amazing reiki experience with Liz. I felt a clear mind and joy that I hadn’t felt in a long time ❤️ it was a very spiritual and magical experience!

After having my daughter, so many new fears and old wounds surfaced for me. I felt paralyzed by thinking about the immense responsibility to not screw up this perfect, tiny human, but my mind played on repeat with scary, intrusive thoughts that made me question if I was safe enough to be a mom.

I was in therapy and taking medication for postpartum anxiety and depression- yet something still felt off.

When I started going to my chiropractor (Dr. Allison at Premier Health Chiropractic ), I heard there was something called reiki (Ray-Key). I figured I might as well give it a try.

It changed everything. I was able to rest and relax deeply, but that session also opened the door for me to begin processing what was causing me so much grief in my postpartum experience. (Forever grateful for you, TaNisha Restore Health Massage VB!)

It was one of those defining moments for me in what I want to do with my life. Reiki has taught me how powerful healing is, especially for new parents.

I promise you won’t regret giving reiki a try.

This is what home birth looks like,

Midwives sitting at the table chatting, sipping coffee and water.

Your best friend sitting on the floor playing with your toddler.

Your partner holding your hand while you work with the waves that rush over you to bring your baby into this universe.

Home birth isn’t how the movies depict birth. It isn’t an agonizing mother in hospital bed. It isn’t a woman who’s left to do the work all on her own. It isn’t unfamiliar doctors and nurses ushering in & out of your hospital room.

Birth is,
Powerful.
A rite of passage.
Transforming.
Empowering.
Normal.

Not sure what a doula does? We give birthing parents the support they need to journey through the birth of their child. It can be a long and difficult process, emotionally and physically for both the birth person and support partner. Doulas help hold the space, provide techniques for an easier birth experience and help the birthing person advocate for their choices and the choices they’ve made for their birth and baby.
