At Healing Arts Center, healing starts when you feel safe, informed, and in control of your own experience.

Reiki works well alongside therapy and any other support you are already receiving. Many clients find that working with their nervous system at a body level deepens and supports the progress they are making elsewhere in their healing.

Every session is built on four core principles:
Safety
Choice
Transparency
Collaboration

Sliding scale available.

Every practitioner here has done the work, holds the training, and was vetted before they ever saw a client at Healing Arts Center. They lead with empathy, respect your boundaries, and work with you as an active partner in your healing.

No matter where you are right now, there is always potential to move toward greater vitality and balance. The goal is not to tell you what your healing should look like. It is to help you mobilize your own strengths, develop tools you can actually use, and make changes that align with your values and your life.

You remain in the driver’s seat. We show up consistently to support the journey

Trust is not built in one session. It is built over time through consistent, respectful, and professional care. As the relationship grows, your practitioner learns your needs, preferences, sensitivities, and goals. Every session becomes more personalized because of it.

So many of our clients come back not just for the physical relief but because their practitioner has become a trusted part of their wellness. A bond built on trust, honesty, and professionalism becomes one of the most powerful parts of their healing.

At Healing Arts Center, every provider holds this standard. You are not a new client every time you walk through the door. You are someone we know, someone we are invested in, and someone we consistently show up for.

Ready to build this relationship?

If the world often feels like too much, the lights, the sounds, the textures, the pressure to just hold it together, you are not alone.

For many neurodivergent people, the sensory load of everyday life is something most others never see or feel. When you spend your days masking, pushing through, and adapting to spaces that were not built for you, your body and mind pay the price.

Here, nothing is asked of you but to show up exactly as you are.

Every session is adapted around your needs. Lighting, sound, scent, touch, pressure, pacing and movement are all flexible and entirely yours to shape. The only goal is for your nervous system to feel safe enough to rest.

What we can adapt:

Touch and pressure
Sound, scent and lighting
Movement and stillness
Textiles and textures
How you move in and out of the space

Reiki that meets you where you are, not the other way around.

You were never taught how to pause when you are triggered, to calm the internal landscape before the reaction takes over. Instead, you were taught to respond quickly, ignore your feelings, and make decisions from fear. It is time to unlearn it all.

A reaction happens in a second. Regret lasts much longer. The pause is what lives between the two, and it is a skill that can be learned, practiced, and integrated into how you move through your daily life.

At Healing Arts Center, we help you build that pause through trauma-informed meditation, somatic and mindfulness coaching, and breathwork, so you can stop reacting from old patterns and start responding from a place of awareness.

Meditation creates awareness of how feelings are expressed and communicated, and how that expression shapes interactions with others. Going beyond the habitual and familiar is what this practice asks of us, and in doing so, we can recognize the emotions moving beneath the surface before they drive behavior. Awareness of this kind changes not only the inner experience but also how we show up in our relationships, conversations, and daily lives.

Working with emotions through meditation is one of the most profound gifts the practice offers. Emotions are as integral to the human experience as thoughts and physical sensations. They are not problems to be solved or feelings to be managed into submission. They are information, and meditation creates the conditions to receive that information clearly rather than react to it automatically.

Over time, this kind of work builds something deeper than coping. It builds compassion for yourself and for the people around you. When you understand your own emotional landscape more honestly, you naturally become more patient with others who are navigating theirs.

At Healing Arts Center, we provide a trauma-informed space to explore these internal landscapes with dignity and care. We support you in building a practice that changes not just how you feel, but how you live.

You walked into that session looking for support, but you left feeling like something was off. Maybe your questions were deflected. Maybe you shared feedback and were met with defensiveness.

Perhaps, when you spoke up, what you said was minimized or dismissed as if it didn't matter. That feeling in your gut is worth paying attention to.

A practitioner who responds to your questions with deflection or meets your feedback with defensiveness is creating a power imbalance that has no place in a healing relationship. When a provider prioritizes protecting their own image over your experience, that crosses into ethical boundary violation territory.

In any healing relationship—whether it is with a Reiki practitioner, a somatic coach, or a licensed therapist—your voice matters. A provider who makes you feel otherwise is showing you something important.

At the Healing Arts Center, our practitioners are vetted not just for their credentials, but for their character. We believe the space between practitioner and client should be a collaboration, not a dynamic where one person holds all the power.

Leaving a situation that does not feel right is not just a choice; it is empowering.

It’s common to feel nervous when you first walk through our door. Starting something new comes with unknowns, and just showing up is the most important step.

We believe the best work happens when you feel a comfortable, honest connection with the person you’re working with. That’s why we want you to ask questions. If you’re feeling frustrated or notice a new emotion during a session, please bring it up. Your feedback helps us make sure we’re meeting your specific needs.

Effective progress takes time. Even when we want to see results quickly, the most lasting shifts happen when they aren’t rushed. When you prioritize your own growth and stay open to the process, those meaningful changes start to happen.

The challenge of self-acceptance is stopping the habitual response of negative self-talk. It’s not about silencing the voice — it’s about no longer believing everything it says.

Most of us have been talking to ourselves a certain way for so long that we don’t even notice it anymore. It feels normal. It feels true.

Acceptance isn’t about fighting those thoughts or pushing them away. It’s about observing what is true within yourself without resistance.

The next time that voice shows up, pause. Notice it. Remind yourself that a thought is just a thought. It is not a fact. It is not who you are.

That is where healing begins. 🤍

We believe self-respect is built from the inside out—one small, consistent step at a time.

Holistic wellness can feel overwhelming when you are looking at the big picture, but it doesn’t have to be. Real change starts with simple, everyday habits that build trust in yourself.

At Healing Arts Center, we specialize in helping you find that internal stability. Whether you are navigating a major life transition or dealing with the long-term effects of hypervigilance, our somatic and mindfulness approach focuses on the small, consistent steps that create the most empowering shifts in your life.

It is time to stop bracing and start exhaling.

In wellness and spiritual spaces, we’re told we create our own reality. But that idea is dangerous when it is used to explain away trauma.

Healing Arts Center in Virginia Beach is a space where anyone who has ever been told their pain was their fault can feel heard and respected.

We are holistic providers who understand that healing cannot happen in a place of shame, that the body carries what the mind has been blamed for, and that you deserve support that starts with being believed.

Our vetted practitioners offer trauma-informed meditation and Reiki, somatic therapy, somatic and mindfulness coaching, breathwork, hypnotherapy, yoga nidra, craniosacral therapy, lymphatic massage, brainspotting, nutritional coaching, and sound therapy.

Sliding-scale options are available for active-duty service members, veterans, first responders, their families, college students, and oncology patients.
