At Healing Arts Center in Virginia Beach, we pride ourselves on being a veteran-owned holistic wellness center rooted in expertise rather than fleeting trends.

Mark’s military background and his transition out of service have shown us the importance of creating spaces that are calm, grounded, and genuinely caring. These principles are the foundation of our work.

Our goal is simple: to provide ethical, compassionate care by highly trained, experienced practitioners. We listen attentively, strive to understand what you're going through, and support you at your own pace, respecting your life experience.

If you're looking for a veteran-owned wellness center that feels authentic and trustworthy, we welcome you.

Compassionate Reiki and trauma-informed mindfulness offer a different kind of support. It does not rush you, correct you, or ask you to be anywhere other than where you are. These practices invite you into a quieter relationship with yourself, where your pace is honored and what you have lived through is met with care instead of pressure.

If you are looking for a space where you can breathe, settle, and reconnect with yourself in a grounded way, I would be honored to support you.

Schedule an appointment. We would love to meet you.

Self-care is balance. It is rest and tending to what we have been putting off.
We reach for comfort when we are tired. A warm bath. A quiet evening. Time to ourselves. These things matter.
There are moments, though, when what we call self-care becomes a way to turn away from what needs our attention.
The conversation we have been avoiding. The decision that makes our chest tighten. The thing we keep carrying like a stone in our pocket.
Avoidance is not wrong. It comes from a tender place inside us that is simply trying to keep us safe.
The question is not whether we rest. It is whether the rest brings us back to ourselves or takes us further away.
Notice how you feel after. More grounded? Or heavier with what remains undone?
Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is not give ourselves comfort, but give ourselves honesty.
Let your self-care be a place where you return to yourself, not somewhere you hide from your life.

When faced with difficult choices or new beginnings, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, but the answers we seek often reside within.
va Reiki services and classes are designed not just for healing, but to help you connect more deeply with your own inner wisdom. Reiki acts as a gentle guide, clearing the mental static so you can clearly hear the subtle voice of your intuition.

By cultivating this inner connection, you gain the presence and clarity needed to navigate challenging decisions with greater ease and grace. It’s about trusting the wisdom of your body and spirit as you move forward.

Ready to find clarity and step into a new chapter with support from Janice?🤲✨

Turning points don’t always manifest as significant moments.
Sometimes, they’re a single realization that interrupts a pattern you’ve been carrying for years.

The moment you say
“I can’t keep doing this.”
or
“This no longer feels true for me.”
can be the beginning of a quiet shift.

You don’t have to have the whole plan.
You have to notice the part of you that’s finally ready to stop —
and prepared to change.

If you’re moving through a transition, a shift, a quiet knowing that something needs to be different, you don’t have to walk through it alone.

Schedule a session.

We would be honored to work with you.

Mindful writing is one of the simplest ways to reconnect with yourself.
When you pause and write down a single moment, thought, or feeling, you create space to understand your inner world with more kindness and less pressure.

This practice can help you slow down, notice what matters, and return to yourself one line at a time.

When fear gets loud and everything feels disorienting, remember: you can pause. You can breathe. You can listen to your heart.

That quiet inner voice? It’s been there all along, waiting for you.

There are moments in our lives when we do not need strategies or solutions. What we really need is someone to sit with us and understand that we are struggling.

Maybe it is a health scare, or grief, or a kind of heartache we have been carrying quietly while we comfort everyone else and pretend we are okay. When we are finally able to drop our guard and be seen, something in us can breathe again.

This is the quiet gift of being met with compassion. It softens the grip of tension. It loosens the knot of fear. It reminds us that we are allowed to be honest about how we truly feel.

At Healing Arts Center, this is the heart of our work. We listen closely. We honor what rises. We create space for people to move at the pace that feels right for them, not the pace the world demands.

If you are seeking support that is gentle, grounded, and respectful of your current situation, you are welcome here.

Military spouses hold so much.
Often quietly.
Often alone.

Victoria’s work focuses on helping clients listen to their bodies, speak up for what they need without fear, and feel safer inside themselves as they do it.

If you’ve been carrying everything on your own, you don’t have to.
Sessions available in person and online.

Carly Robertson, founder of Retro Wellness, has spent more than 20 years helping people think, read, and write in deeper, more intentional ways. At Healing Arts Center, she brings that same grounded presence to workshops and sessions that use reading, journaling, simple meditation, and Reiki to help you slow down and listen to yourself again.

Her work is for anyone who feels scattered, overbooked, or stuck in their own head and wants simple practices that make life feel a little more spacious and meaningful.

Today we honor all who served. You carried our flag, held its promise, and shouldered its weight with courage.
To every veteran, your service and sacrifice continue to shape this country. We remember you. We thank you. We honor you.

And we know the battle does not end when the uniform comes off. No one should carry those burdens alone.

Healing Arts Center is veteran-owned. Mark, a retired Special Operator, understands this life and its impact. We are here for our community.
