📍Where: Onward Physical Therapy
🧘🏻‍♀️What: 20/30 min pelvic floor & core workshop followed by a 45 min full body strength workout.
Price: $15 (cash or Venmo)

Little ones age 0 - 12 months are welcome, the workout is baby-wearing friendly.

Celebrate your postpartum body!!!

The postpartum phase is the perfect opportunity to start from scratch and learn how to move properly!

Forget how your body used to look.
Forget how much you were able to lift.
Forget how long or how far your were able to run.

Focus on where you are right now and look ahead you where you CAN go!!!

THIS is the new you! You created life and now you get to focus on rebuilding your core, on strengthening your pelvic floor, on creating the best & stronger foundation for your body ❤️

You wouldn’t build a house on a shaky foundation, so don’t do it for you body. TAKE YOUR TIME! You will get strong again (or even stronger), you will run again (and maybe even longer and farther than ever), trust the process !

Social media has been such a weird space lately (at least for me).

But as we enter a new month, the beginning of the holiday season and election week 😬 I just wanted to hop on here to remind you all that

I am not the trainer I used to be!

A few years back, when I started as a personal trainer full time, exercising was my life!

I was in the gym 6 days a week for at least an hour and I couldn’t see it any other way!

I remember recommending to clients to workout for an hour not less (I still believe that an efficient lifting session takes at least 45 minutes).

And I recommend making plans for my clients to workout on vacations!

One thing that hasn’t changed is my approach regarding listening to your body and if you need a break take a break! But taking a full 2 weeks breaks while on vacation ??? I would have NEVER done that 🙅🏻‍♀️

Sure I was a lot leaner than I am now! But I’m also a mom now and a different woman and I am definitely not the coach I used to be!

As I walk all over this city I know so well- since I lived here for a while- I realize that the change of scenery was much needed.

I realize that I tend to get stuck in my routine.
I realize how good it feels to walk different paths every day, to not be looking at my clock all the time to make sure I’m “on schedule”.

And while this is not something I can realistically do every day went home, I see changes I can make. I think the biggest thing I’ve realized during this trip is that it’s important to be a tourist in your own town.

Nothing keeps me from driving 5 to 10 minutes away from the house to go walk a different path for my morning walk. I don’t do it because it’s easy not to but I am making a commitment to changing this.

Because especially in 2020, We all need a little change of scenery!
