Plastic surgery recovery is more than just rest 💆‍♀️—it’s about **hydration 💧, gentle movement 🚶‍♀️, swelling support 🧊, skin care 🧴, compression 🤍, and lots of patience 🌸.** True healing happens when your *whole body* is cared for—not just the surgical area. 🌿✨ Tag or share this with someone preparing for their surgery journey 💫

Day 6 — we’re turning the corner 🤍✨

Still a little swollen…
still a little red…
but definitely improving.

(Easter timing = rebirth of new skin 🐣✨)

Yes… I can wear makeup now 💄
…but I’m choosing not to.

This phase is about optimizing healing, not covering it.

💡 What I’m still doing:

• Hydroquinone 2x/day ⚪ → prevent PIH
• Epidermal Repair 🧴 → support skin barrier
• Avoiding sun like the plague ☀️🚫
• No picking 🙏
• Self MLD 2x/day 🤍 → reduce swelling

💡 Important:

At this stage, some breakouts are NORMAL

RF goes deep → brings sebum + congestion up
👉 this is part of the process (we want it out)

💧 Hydration still high
🍵 Turmeric + ginger
❄️ Supporting, not rushing

✨ If you want to maximize your results,
you have to follow post-care.

This is where outcomes are made.

🥂 First glass of champagne today 😅
BUT… soaked the ham overnight 🐷
→ less sodium = less swelling 🙃

Balance.

Don’t get comfortable yet—
you’re in the refinement stage now.

I’ll keep sharing 🤍

Happy Easter 🌸🐣

Spring is renewal.

And renewal includes your circulation. 💧🌿

Long walks 🚶‍♀️
Travel ✈️
Celebrations 🥂

Movement increases this season — and so can swelling.

If your body feels heavier…
Tighter…
More congested…

Listen to it.

Your lymphatic system responds to:

✔️ Consistency
✔️ Compression
✔️ Strategic support
✔️ Gentle, precise care

Renewal should feel light.

Not heavy. 🤍

If swelling increases with the season, a reset can help protect your outcomes — whether post-surgical, managing lymphedema, or simply supporting fluid balance.

Wishing you a peaceful and renewing Easter. 🌸✨

This Good Friday, I found a part of myself I thought was gone.

A little joy. A little fire. A little freedom.

Maybe she was never gone.
Maybe she was just waiting for me to choose her again. ✨

Aftercare should never be an afterthought.

Surgery is an event.
Recovery is a process.

Swelling doesn’t resolve on its own.
Fibrosis doesn’t prevent itself.
Compression doesn’t fit itself.
Tissue doesn’t regulate without support.

The outcome isn’t shaped in the operating room alone.

It’s shaped in:

• The first 72 hours
• The first 6 weeks
• The consistency of care
• The precision of intervention

Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
Proper compression.
Custom foam support.
Scar management.
Movement.
Education.

Aftercare is not optional.
It’s structural.

Healing deserves a plan — not guesswork.

✨ Healing is not always just about time. Sometimes the body holds on to swelling, tension, and protective guarding until it feels safe enough to let go.

In my latest blog, I reflect on the connection between healing, swelling, recovery, and the often-forgotten power of touch. I also share why gentle support can matter so much during post-operative recovery and lymphatic healing. 🤍

If you are navigating swelling, inflammation, scar tissue, or the emotional side of recovery, this piece may speak to you.

Day 3 — 72 hours post treatment 🤍✨

Not going to lie…
I feel like a semi tractor trailer drove over my face 😅🚛
And to make it worse… Face ID rejected me today 🙅‍♀️📱
Humbled REAL quick 😂

If you’re in this stage right now—
this can be completely normal. 💛

Day 3 is often one of the worst swelling days
→ more pressure
→ more puffiness
→ headaches (I have them today 🤕)
→ and yes… a little emotional too

I get it. 🤍

💡 Why Day 3 matters

This is when fluid can start to slow, thicken, and sit in the tissue—especially in the face + neck.

If it sits:
• more pressure
• more congestion
• slower healing
• possible fibrotic changes over time

➡️ This is why MLD is most optimal to start around now (when appropriate)
Not massage.
Helping fluid move before it gets stubborn.

⏰ If you can’t get in today, that’s ok 🤍
But try not to wait beyond 2 weeks
→ because fluid becomes harder to move
→ and recovery can take longer

💧 Today’s protocol

• Hydration (2–3 Stanley’s 💦)
• Turmeric + ginger tea 🍵 (anti-inflammatory support)
⚠️ check with your provider first

• Gentle self-MLD
• Cold compress (NOT ice) ❄️

🧴 Skin care

• Final day of cream + masque 🌿
• First gentle cleanse → pat, don’t rub
• 🚫 No picking

💭 If you’re feeling discouraged…

You are not doing anything wrong.
You are likely in the hardest part right now.

Don’t rush this stage.

Because rushing can lead to:
• more swelling
• delayed healing
• unnecessary complications

✨ Don’t give up. It gets better from here.

I’ll keep sharing my progress…
(and hopefully Face ID lets me back in soon 😅📱)

Today, I’m not the clinician…
today, I’m the patient. 🤍

And yes… I know…
I apologize for the scary photo 😅👻
But this is NORMAL Day 1 swelling.

Also… at 54, gravity is doing its thing 🤷‍♀️
So we treat it strategically. ✨

Today: Morpheus8 (3,631 passes) + Pixel
• Skin tightening
• Tissue remodeling
• Texture improvement

This is acute inflammation + vasodilation 🔥
→ heat, redness, swelling = expected

👉 This is NORMAL.

💡 What matters is what you do after.

When fluid sits:
• congestion
• pressure
• slower healing

➡️ This is why MLD matters (early, when appropriate)
Not massage. Fluid movement.

💧 Today:
• Hydration
• Turmeric + ginger tea 🍵 (anti-inflammatory support)
• ZERO sodium 🚫🧂
• Sadly… no wine tonight or tomorrow , or after that ..😭🍷

• Gentle self-MLD
• Controlled cryotherapy ❄️

🧴 Day 1 care:
• No washing (24 hrs)
• No picking
• Phyto masque 2x/day 🌿
• Hydroquinone 2x/day → helps prevent PIH

✨ This is why I love this treatment.
The result is shaped in recovery.

I’ll share my progress… and a much prettier before/after at the end (well at least the after photo anyway!)😅✨

Stay tuned.

Swelling is not guesswork.

It’s measurable.
It’s trackable.
It’s clinical.

At TheraFlow Health, we don’t “eyeball” swelling.

We measure.

📏 Circumference changes
📸 Visual tissue comparison
📝 Baseline tracking
🧠 Clinical decision-making based on stage of healing

Because swelling behaves differently:

• Acute post-operative edema
• Persistent fluid retention
• Fibrotic tissue formation
• Hormonal or inflammatory swelling

Each requires a different approach.

Small changes in millimeters matter.
Timing matters.
Technique matters.

Precision in lymphatic health is not luxury.
It’s protection.

Post-Surgical Compression Essentials 💚

Compression is not shapewear.

It’s a medical tool.

When properly selected and fitted, compression:

✔️ Supports lymphatic return
✔️ Reduces post-operative swelling
✔️ Protects surgical contours
✔️ Minimizes fluid pockets
✔️ Helps prevent fibrosis

But here’s what matters most:

Not all compression is equal.

Stage matters.
Pressure (mmHg) matters.
Fabric structure matters.
Seam placement matters.
Foam pairing matters.

Too tight can restrict.
Too loose can fail to support.

This is why professional fitting is not optional — it’s protective. 🩺

Healing is layered.
Compression is foundational.
