Happy Saturday! To end off January we are starting a new segment called “Supervisor Spotlight” to highlight all of our amazing supervisors. These supervisors put in countless hours of work during both in season and during the off season to make sure VBLS is the place to be.

Our first spotlight is Sergeant Hunter Barakey! Hunter is a 7th year who started supervising in 2022. Her favorite thing about lifeguarding is lining up her breaks with .isenhour to go body surf or any day she gets to work in the north end with ! her favorite place to grab a quick bite is & while she’s on the beach. She is currently getting her masters degree in biomedical sciences and is off to medical school in the fall! Her biggest tip for all beach goers is to swim near a lifeguard and to always ask the lifeguard on duty if you’re unsure about the water conditions!🛟

There’s only 115 days until Memorial Day!🇺🇸 When planning for your long weekend, please choose to visit beaches that are watched by lifeguards🛟 VB Ocean Rescue will be fully staffed during Memorial Day weekend on all three beaches we patrol. Every beach is different so make sure you research the beach you are visiting! As always, Swim near a lifeguard!!🛟
