Lice: what are you actually looking for? 👀

Let’s clear this up real quick, because half the panic comes from not knowing what you’re seeing.

Live lice
They’re tiny, fast, and honestly a little rude about it. About the size of a sesame seed, grayish-brown, and they move quickly away from light. If you see something crawling, that’s an active situation.

Eggs (nits)
These are the real troublemakers. Tiny, oval, and glued tightly to the hair shaft close to the scalp. They can look white, tan, or even brown. If it slides off easily, it’s probably dandruff. If it feels stuck like it signed a lease… yeah, that’s a nit.
