Rule' story: Bred to be a show dog (his grandfather was a AKC grand champion), from previous owner. When he was being trained in his first year the handler dropped Rule by mistake. Rule broke his leg badly. No longer a show dog they put him up for adoption. Jennifer and Chris spied him at Old Town Alexandria at the Torpedo Art Factory. He was so loving we knew he'd be a great therapy dog. Long road to therapy as everything that he was taught in the show ring was opposite to therapy. They're never allowed to sit in show ring, that's a big requirement in therapy. Rule has since worked at two hospitals and did emotional therapy at the Virginia Beach tragedy in 2019 at the courthouse for two weeks. Everywhere we bring him he put smiles on people's faces. He gets along with any animal even my birds. He is truly special and a gift from God! 🙌💞
*Christmas nickname is Prancer. (He still carries the prance from the show ring. Lol)
