Yoga Helps you live your life in harmony with both yourself and the world around you. For years, people have practiced yoga in the form of movements, breathing, and meditation to keep the body healthy, to relax the mind, and to achieve focus in life. Often we live entirely in our heads and the body is left behind. In yoga, the body is a powerful tool used to reach inside and reestablish the connection to the inner strength that is hidden in all of us. Alignment is the key to an efficient yoga practice. Proper body alignment is about stacking your bones so your muscles and circulation can work effectively. When your body is in the correct position, you get more benefit from the pose and there is a sense of freedom from within. The more you practice yoga, the better you'll be able to sense your alignment and make automatic fixes. You'll start to notice how you feel in the poses and find subtle ways to adjust for you body's unique needs. Here at TEALL Transformation Yoga we understand that no two bodies are the same. We've created a carefree safe environment for you to learn, grow and transform. We are here for any questions and/or concerns you may have about yoga and your practice. Sometimes we need guidance as to what benefits our specific needs. Yoga is designed to put you in tune with your physical, mental, and spiritual states of being. It's easy to get so in tuned with alignment that you lose touch with those senses and don't derive as much benefit from your practice. Therefore, each practice includes a goal-setting intention, and/or meditation, to stimulate mental focus, clarity, and calmness to break free from stagnant mental patterns. Through breathing and moving your body, you can acquire balance among your heart, brain, body, and soul. The body becomes flexible and strong, and your mind becomes more focused and calm, making you happier and more content with yourself.

You may have had a dream about a Goddess who sings the names you have forgotten.

Not only will you be doing the mind a favor but you’ll also be preventing cartilage and joint breakdown!

“Each time you practice yoga, you take your joints through their full range of motion. This can help prevent degenerative arthritis or mitigate disability by “squeezing and soaking” areas of cartilage that normally aren’t used. Joint cartilage is like a sponge; it receives fresh nutrients only when its fluid is squeezed out and a new supply can be soaked up. Without proper sustenance, neglected areas of cartilage can eventually wear out, exposing the underlying bone like worn-out brake pads…”

“After a life time studying ballet and modern dance, Lizzy understands how it feels to find pain relief and healing through the practice of yoga. A forever student, Lizzy is 200 Hour certified and studied under Teall’s own Alex in 2016 right here in Virginia Beach. Since then, she has had the opportunity to share a variety of styles with many wonderful communities. Lizzy’s classes are for practitioners of all levels and always taught in a mindful, welcoming atmosphere. She has two sweet daughters that keep her grounded, a passion for great jams and not-so-great jokes, has too many house plants, loves being in nature and exploring the world…”

Get to know this wonderful human and instructor ⤵️ and join Jess on your mats this Tuesday and Thursday.

“Originally from the Chicagoland area, Jess began her yoga journey back in the 90s through theater classes and felt an instant connection with what it offered. The peace and grounding she felt was just what she needed as the years progressed and life got more complicated (as life tends to do.)

When her father was diagnosed with dementia in 2019, she sank further into seeking ways to keep centered and release the fear and anxiety with his passing in 2022. While she had already enrolled in a 200 RYT teacher training, her dad’s death and hard choices surrounding this rough season in her world catapulted a choice to embrace life on life’s terms and work toward a goal of self healing and forgiveness. She completed her teacher training at Chesapeake Hot Yoga with Brianna Ward and the solace and comfort she discovered with this new found level of yoga has dramatically changed her path for the better…”
