We’re grateful for the opportunity to talk to KX News Minot about hospice care options in Minot and the role local providers play in supporting families.

It is truly an honor to serve the communities we are part of. Families deserve steady guidance, compassionate support, and care they can trust. When needs shift or gaps appear, our focus stays the same: being present, being reliable, and helping ensure people have the support they need, when they need it most.

Earlier this month, leaders at Trinity Health announced the suspension of its Home Health and Outpatient Hospice Services. Now, other service providers in Minot are stepping up to fill that gap.

Some of the most meaningful lessons in healthcare happen in living rooms and at kitchen tables, in the quiet rhythm of everyday life.

Stepping into someone’s home teaches things you cannot find in textbooks or hospital corridors, about trust, autonomy, and the lives people have built long before care became part of the story.

Explore how home health professionals help improve nutrition at home to support healing, strength, and independence.

When a primary care provider directly and PERSONALY reaches out to the CaringEdge Brookings team to discuss a mutual patient’s care plan, that deserves a Klondike bar 🍦… or in this case something that will last a little longer 🌿 😉CaringEdge cherishes the relationships built within the local healthcare systems to ensure the best quality of care. Thank you isn’t enough. ❤️

Spreading cheer and kindness can be simple, yet profound. Last week CaringEdge Watertown/Brookings took a few minutes at the monthly staff meetings to write a “thank you” to someone they thought could use one. We appreciate the little behind the scenes things and strive to continue to spread joy!

At CaringEdge in Sioux Falls, our “why” is simple — and deeply personal.

We believe therapy is about more than exercises or appointments.
It’s about helping people live the life that matters to them.

💚 We help seniors restore strength, balance, and belief in their bodies so they can stay safe and independent at home.
💚 We help people get better and remain as independent as possible through every stage of recovery.
💚 And ultimately, everything we do is about helping people keep their independence — because independence means continuing hobbies, routines, relationships, and the everyday moments that make life meaningful.

This is why we show up.
This is why we care.
This is why we do what we do.

🌟 Fargo's "WHY?": Marcus & Stella 🌟

At Fargo CaringEdge Outpatient, we talk a lot about purpose — the “why” behind the work we do. For Occupational Therapist Marcus, that purpose has been clear for the past 6–7 years: helping people reclaim confidence, independence, and joy in their daily lives. And he hasn’t done it alone.

By his side through it all is Stella, his loyal therapy dog and partner in care. Together, Marcus and Stella bring comfort, motivation, and a sense of calm to every session. Stella receives many treats in exchange for an occasional pet here and there.

We’re grateful for the heart Marcus brings to his work and the warmth Stella brings to our space. They remind us daily that healing isn’t just clinical — it’s human, relational, and sometimes a little furry.

💛 Thank you, Marcus and Stella, for the impact you make in our community.

CaringEdge - A health services division of Edgewood Healthcare

As improvements in healthcare, medical technology and general awareness about leading healthier, more active lifestyles continue to drive average life expectancies up, they also offer new options and challenges for those at the point in their lives where they’re considering staying at home vs. moving to a senior living community. At Edgewood we understand it can be a difficult choice, so we strive to provide multiple options to meet most customers’ preferences and needs; we want to be there every step of the way, and through Edgewood’s CaringEdge division, we plan to be!

Edgewood Why

At Edgewood, we are dedicated to ensuring each resident enjoys his or her own journey throughout the “golden years” and makes his or her own choices along the way. We’re redefining senior living by offering unique, in-house ancillary services, such as restorative therapy and personalized wellness and care programs, that improve quality of life throughout every stage of the aging process, allowing our residents the opportunity to thrive rather than just get by. The goal is for Edgewood communities to be a “want to” rather than a “have to”, allowing residents to choose Edgewood sooner and stay longer.
