Today at Cass County Senior Living & Rehabilitation, we had the joy of welcoming our residents’ families to join us for a special Thanksgiving meal. With over 90 meals served, our dining room was filled with smiles, conversation, and the comfort of togetherness.

We are deeply grateful and thankful for every day we get to share with our residents, and today was truly a reminder of how strong and loving our community is. Having everyone gathered in one place to celebrate this season of gratitude made the day especially meaningful.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible staff, who worked tirelessly to bring this event to life. Your teamwork, dedication, and compassion ensured our residents and their families enjoyed a warm, memorable holiday celebration.

🎄 Spread Some Holiday Cheer at Cass County Senior Living! 🎄

The Christmas season is approaching quickly, and here at Cass County Senior Living & Rehabilitation, we are looking for groups who would like to help make the holidays extra special for our residents.

We are welcoming singing groups, Christmas carolers, school groups, church choirs, community clubs, and any organizations interested in visiting and bringing joy through small performances or simple holiday cheer.

Our residents enjoyed a delightful afternoon of live music from a wonderful outside group who visits us regularly. We are so appreciative of the small community groups who take the time to come to Cass County Senior Living and brighten our days.

There was plenty of toe-tapping, chair-dancing, and lots of smiles all around! The group even brought delicious Christmas snacks to share, adding an extra touch of joy to the afternoon.

Thank you again to this blessed little community for enriching the lives of our residents. Your kindness truly makes a difference.

🧡 Every step matters for Fall Prevention! 🧡

Falls don’t have to be a part of life — safety is strength in aging!

👟 Tips to Prevent Falls:
• Clear walkways of clutter and cords. Remove loose rugs.
• Ensure rooms have adequate lighting. Use night lights for better visibility.
• Install and use grab bars in bathrooms.
• Wear non-slip shoes and footwear. Don't walk in socks or loose slippers.
• Stay active to improve balance. Participate in exercises for strengthening and flexibility.
• Be aware of medication side effects.
• Talk to your doctor about fall risks and medication side effects.

Today we are proud to highlight a very special member of our Cass County Senior Living & Rehabilitation family — Cathy Lara, who truly wears many hats within our facility!

Not only does she excel in her role building strong community connections, but she also serves as our Activity Director, planning and organizing meaningful, engaging, and fun activities for our residents and our wider community. Her creativity and dedication shine through in every event she coordinates.

She is also an exceptional liaison for our families, helping guide them through the transition from rehab back to home with compassion, clarity, and support. Her communication and care make a world of difference for our residents and their loved ones.

We are truly grateful for everything she does to make our facility welcoming, vibrant, and supportive.
