Last Thursday, April 23rd we celebrated our Volunteers at the ADRC! We are so thankful for all of our volunteers and all that they do for us each and every day. Many thanks to the Viroqua Fire Department, Captain Josh Brown and Brandon Larson for allowing us to host our event at your new Fire Station, and also for presenting and providing tours to our crew! We appreciate you also!

The ADRC Senior Fair is a little over a week away! Sleepy Hollow contacted us and let us know they will be there with their vintage ice cream truck and yummy treats! The treats are free, but they are accepting free will donations to support the ADRC of Vernon County. Our Sponsors continue to allow us to bring this informational and fun event to you at no cost to you. We are very thankful to them all! This year Organic Valley will be donating milk and cheese Stringles for the lunch baskets. Jay Hoffman will be performing music for the event. Caleb Dewitt from McIntosh Memorial Library will be calling BINGO. The Viroqua Lions Club will be a vendor also helping us in the lunch area. The Vernon County Health Department will be offering blood pressure screenings. Scenic Bluffs will be offering vaccines, blood pressure checks and help with Advanced Directives. Mayo Clinic will be offering stroke awareness information and Advanced Directive assistance. There are so many different vendors and services offered; you just need to stop down and see all that will be there! For more information feel free to contact us at the ADRC of Vernon County. We are just a little over 3 weeks away from our 5th Annual ADRC Senior Fair. We are very thankful to all of our sponsors for making the event possible! Look for The Viroqua Lions Club in the lunch area and eyeglass collection buckets will be around to take those eyeglasses you no longer need. Organic Valley has donated milk and cheese Stringles for lunch. Kickapoo Corners will be catering the lunch this year. Access Elevator will have an accessible van, chair lift for stairs and mobility scooter. These are just a few of the wonderful vendors that will be there. If you want to come but are unable to drive, contact Amy at the ADRC for transportation to the fair. Watch for further information as we get closer.

Mark your calendars! The ADRC of Vernon County’s 5th Annual Senior Fair is coming! Date has been set for Wednesday, May 6th from 10am – 2pm. We are happy to share that Organic Valley has donated milk and cheese stringles for the Senior Fair this year and The Viroqua Lions Club will be there and helping to serve the food.
