🌟🎬 Hollywood came to Mauston last week for VARC Day Service’s Movie Era theme! Our amazing clients transformed into movie stars, crafted creative theater props, and struck their best poses for a glamorous photo shoot. The highlight? An unforgettable trip to the historic Al. Ringling Theatre, where everyone soaked up the magic of the movies! The week was filled with creativity, laughter, and memories worthy of the big screen. 🍿✨

It was great working with the VARC Group Supported Employment crew at Mueller Sports Medicine. 🏅 The staff is impressive—they encourage everyone to solve problems, work together, and think creatively. 🤔 The team can choose to work in different ways, like an assembly line, in pairs, or individually, giving them flexibility in how they approach tasks. ⚙️ It’s inspiring to see them handle challenges as a group. Watching the growth of these four individuals over the years has been wonderful. 🧡

Meet Roxanne—a true inspiration! 🌟 When she first joined VARC, Roxanne felt unsure and a little nervous, just like anyone starting something new. But in just a few short weeks, she’s shown incredible courage and determination.

Roxanne dove into our Prevocational Services, learning valuable work skills and building new friendships along the way. Even on tough days, she showed up, stayed focused, and pushed through her doubts. We’re thrilled to celebrate Roxanne for earning the Production Award for her perfect attendance and outstanding effort! 🏆 Her journey is what VARC is all about—empowering individuals to discover their strengths and shine bright.

We’ve kicked off our Social Media Safety Unit in the Employability Skills classroom with an exciting virtual adventure—following the legendary Iditarod Sled Dog Race in Alaska! 🏔️🐾 Each student chose a musher to track throughout the race, using safe online practices to dive into their musher’s story, meet their team of dogs, and explore their training and trail history. As the race unfolded this past March, we cheered on our mushers and shared updates on their progress!

This hands-on project wasn't just about the thrill of the Iditarod—it’s about building essential life skills:

✔️ Spotting trustworthy sources
✔️ Practicing digital citizenship
✔️ Engaging respectfully online
