The purpose of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is to promote and maintain the health and well-being of nutritionally at-risk pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children. WIC provides supplemental nutritious foods, nutrition and breastfeeding information, and referral to other health and nutrition services.

Kids love being part of what's happening. In the kitchen, that can look like a
few simple things:
✔️ Stirring ingredients
✔️ Sprinkling toppings
✔️ Washing fruits and veggies
✔️ Carrying items to the counter
Small moments like these can help kids feel included, curious about food, and

Simple snacks using foods you already have can help fill the gaps between meals without a lot of prep. A few easy snack ideas:
✔️ Apple slices with peanut butter
✔️ Yogurt with fruit
✔️ Tortilla cheese roll up
Bonus: These are all WIC-approved foods, making it a little easier to keep simple, filling options
on hand when hunger strikes (again).
