The purpose of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is to promote and maintain the health and well-being of nutritionally at-risk pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children. WIC provides supplemental nutritious foods, nutrition and breastfeeding information, and referral to other health and nutrition services.

☢ RADON ☢ can be high in any type of home or building, new or old.

Radon levels depend on where your home is located in relation to a uranium deposit in the soil. You could have high radon levels even if your neighbor’s radon level is low.

Testing is the only way to know.

With a level greater than 4 picocuries per liter (pCi/L), it is recommended to install a mitigation system.

Vernon County Health Department is offering a limited supply of FREE radon test kits. Pick up your kit at 318 Fairlane Dr. Suite 212 Viroqua, WI 54665 M-F 8:30AM to 4:30PM.
