For residents in Quail Park at Shannon Ranch's Tribute Program, we believe every day is an opportunity to live well, remain active and find enjoyment. Joyful moments are essential, and our professional team is trained to serve and guide residents experiencing Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia.

🎨Therapiducal Art Session:

Purpose: This activity helped Residents shift their focus from what was missing to what was present, fostering feelings of value, hope, and resilience. ❤️‍🩹

The instructor asked Residents to sketch a tall, sturdy tree, from its deep roots to the spreading branches. Each section of the tree represented something good about them: the roots reflected the basic good qualities they had always possessed, the trunk displayed their main beliefs, and the leaves symbolized small everyday wins. As they added each good thing to the tree, the instructor encouraged participants to discuss why it was important to them.
