The rapid growth in Central California has created an increasing demand for medical imaging services. Mineral King Radiological Medical Group, Inc. was founded in Visalia in the 1970's, and in 2001, they opened a privately-owned imaging center. This is an independent facility which is not affiliated with Kaweah Delta Medical Center. established Visalia Imaging & Open MRI. This was in response to the demand by the medical community for more efficient services for their patients. Subsequently due to the insistence of physicians and patients, it soon became apparent there was a need for expanded women's services. The center met this challenge, and Visalia Women's Imaging Specialists was developed. This separate diagnostic suite offers comprehensive women's studies. The radiologists and many of the 40+ staff at Visalia Imaging are well-known in the Exeter, Visalia, and Tulare areas for their commitment to quality radiological services using the most technologically-advanced equipment. The radiologists have many years of experience and are certified by the American Board of Radiology and offer specialties in Interventional, Musculoskeletal, and Neuroradiology services. Most of the modalities are accredited by the American College of Radiology; and our technical staff holds the highest accreditations in their individual fields.
