I was first introduced to yoga in my early 20’s and quickly realized the benefits yoga provided mentally and physically. Being diagnosed with PTSD and struggling with anxiety, yoga provided a way of moving into stillness to quiet my mind, move my body and heal my soul. The time spent in my yoga practice, enabled me to work through my anxiety, fears and to help release the physical pain my body held from the trauma it endured.
Over twenty years later, I still use yoga to stay physically and mentally balanced and strong. It provides the tools to approach the natural ebbs and flows of life with grace.
In my classes, I strive to provide a space for students of all abilities, to improve their body awareness, realize the importance of connecting to their breath and allow their minds to become quiet. Guiding my students through creative flows with ashtanga vinyasa or hatha influences, while providing plenty of options, so they can enjoy the benefits of a happier and healthier mind, body and spirit through their lowered stress, improved mood and increased energy, strength and flexibility.
