The momentum continues. 🙌

Lifeline’s CEO Advisory Council met last week, bringing together leaders from across San Diego committed to strengthening services and opportunities for the communities we serve.

As community needs evolve, and the landscape shifts, it is uplifting to see that our work is stronger through partnerships. Sitting in the room together we could really feel the energy and the love for the work. It is evident that together, we can have greater impact.

To our Advisory Council members: thank you for showing up, leaning in, and bringing expertise in your field for the betterment of our region. Having you in our corner means the world to us.

Thank you to the San Diego Foundation for hosting us in their beautiful offices.

Today Lifeline's CEO, Lisette Islas, and Ambassador Alicia G. Kerber-Palma from the Mexican Consulate signed an MOU to strengthen our work serving immigrant communities. This partnership strengthens our ability to coordinate services and resources with a shared focus on supporting survivors of human trafficking through mental health services, housing, and workforce development.

Yesterday, Lifeline was invited by Mayor Rebecca Jones and the San Marcos City Council to accept a Proclamation honoring Human Trafficking Awareness Month. 💚

This recognition affirms the importance of prevention, education, and survivor-centered support. We’re grateful to the City of San Marcos and its leaders for using their platform to elevate awareness and honor organizations and advocates working to end human trafficking.

We were proud to share the stage with One Safe Place, California Alliance Against Human Trafficking, You Can Stop Human Trafficking, Trish Martinez Native Liaison to Advisory Council and Mosques Against Trafficking as none of this work can be done alone.

Moments like this remind us that meaningful change happens through collaboration and collective action.
