Yesterday, some of our young women in Intensive Outpatient Therapy (IOT) enjoyed a special Valentine’s Tea Party with Therapists Bailey Winget and Laurel Steffen. ☕💕

More than tea and treats, it was a reminder of their worth; that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved.

We are so grateful for the creativity and intentionality of our team. While they are here, our students are reminded daily that they are cherished by this community and ultimately, by God.

Fit Check: Valentine’s Edition 💗

Sometimes love looks like dressing up in red, pink, and hearts for Valentine’s Day; but most of the time, love looks like showing up.

Our Residential team does just that, day in and day out, for our students. From Family Teachers to Residential Supervisors, they give their all—late nights, early mornings, and always with heart.

Today was spirit day, and we’re celebrating this amazing team with a special spot on the feed. Enjoy, and feel free to share the love! 💖

Who are the people behind Josiah White’s?
The faces behind the titles. The heart behind the mission.💙

Throughout this year, we’re sitting down with the people who make this work possible and sharing the WHY behind what they do.

Why they chose this mission.
Why they stay.
And why creating for children, teens, and families is worth every challenge along the way.

Because when you know the why, you understand the heart.💚

Last week, the team from RemedyLIVE visited our Wabash Campus to speak into the lives of our students. With heart, passion, and the love of Jesus, they addressed the realities of pain—and the power of hope.

We are so grateful for our partnership with Remedy Live, sharing a mission to love and serve in a Christ-centered way.

Experiences like this give our youth the chance to be encouraged and supported by compassionate individuals who are invested in the next generation.💚

As we move through February [a month often associated with love] it’s important to remember that love takes many forms. 💙💚

This month, and every month, we celebrate God’s transformative love.

When that love is reflected to our students, it opens the door for them to begin loving themselves. That was the case for Samantha*.

Through her time here, she discovered a new confidence rooted in the realization that she has value and worth.

One of the most damaging assumptions our students often face is being labeled as “bad kids” by their communities. At Josiah White’s, we see beyond behaviors on the surface and beyond the masks that can form through trauma to hide pain. We see a heart and a soul, and recognize that each student...

💗💗💗Continuing our series highlighting the heart behind our mission, we caught one of our student interns at 50 East Garden Center & Café busy at work.

Students like Kimberly* have the opportunity, through our Growing Teens for Life program, to gain real work experience and earn certifications they can take with them when they leave, giving them a head start for the future.

Her words about the love she has for her experience here beautifully reflect what we strive for every day: creating , offering renewed hope, supporting healthy second chances, and fostering opportunities to grow.

Stay tuned as we continue to hear from more staff and students willing to share their hearts with us!

🎉 January Employee Recognition Winner 🎉

Each month, Josiah White’s staff nominate coworkers who go above and beyond—living out our Core Values of being humble, effective, mission-driven, Christian, professional, and resilient.

This month, we’re excited to recognize Rachel Reames as our January Employee Recognition Winner, with the core value of Mission-Driven shining through her work.💚

Rachel recently took the lead in organizing and hosting a virtual mission fair that connected local mission partners with individuals who feel called to serve vulnerable children and families in crisis. The event was well attended, well received, and laid the foundation for an ongoing monthly opportunity to help others find meaningful ways to get involved in the mission.

We’re so grateful for Rachel’s leadership, initiative, and heart for connecting people to purpose.

👏 Way to go, Rachel! And thank you to all of our nominees, you are what makes Josiah White’s such a special place.

“Nobody’s perfect.”

Jess Hopkins opened her Second Chance story with this reminder:
“Nobody’s perfect, and we all fall short of the glory. We need to practice a little bit more forgiveness and openness to be able to move forward in a positive way.”

Her words set the tone for this series: honest, humble, and hopeful. Because second chances aren’t about pretending we’ve never fallen short. They’re about choosing grace, offering forgiveness, and giving each other room to grow.

We’re grateful to Jess for starting this series with such a real and grounded perspective.

Follow along as others share what second chances have meant in their lives, and how they’ve had the opportunity to offer them to someone else.

They walked across the stage in a chapel filled with supportive peers, teachers, staff, and family, all cheering them on as they celebrated a milestone that once felt unachievable.

Kimberly plans to study cosmetology, and Michael plans to attend college to study history. We are incredibly proud of both students and ask that you join us in praying for them as they step into the next chapter of their journeys.

Moments like these, after the hard moments, fill our hearts and remind us of the 'why.'

New possibilities for students like Kimberly and Michael are worth it.💙

📣 PART 1

Home Is Worth the Hard Work: When Teams Unite, Second Chances Happen

What does permanency really look like?

Sometimes, it looks like late nights, hard conversations, steady commitment—and hope that refuses to give up.

At the heart of foster care is the belief that every child deserves a safe, lasting home. But getting there takes a village. 💙 In this powerful reunification story, you’ll hear from foster parents, a biological mom, and the professionals who walked alongside them—each playing a vital role in a journey that was anything but easy…and absolutely worth it.

Stay tuned to the Josiah White's Foster Care page over the next few weeks as this story unfolds.

✨ Part 1 is live now.

This month, we’re celebrating the HEART behind the mission God has entrusted to us—our people. ❤️

Today, Corynn Hill, one of our vocational coaches, chats with Jay Lynn, our Director of Support Services, about why he loves being part of the work of creating new possibilities for the children, teens, and families we serve.

We’re so thankful for a team led by faith, love, and service.

And don’t worry—Gus did not swallow the mic (we promise) 😉.
