Last Friday, love was in the air at Vernon Health & Rehabilitation during our Sweetheart Dance 💕

Our residents enjoyed an afternoon filled with wonderful music, laughter, and plenty of dancing! From toe-tapping tunes to sweet slow dances, the room was full of smiles and special moments. It was truly heartwarming to see everyone having such a great time celebrating friendship, joy, and a little bit of romance.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event so special for our residents. Moments like these are what make Vernon feel like home ❤️

During National Activity Professionals Week, we honor and celebrate our team members who serve as the heartbeat of our communities. Through purposeful, person-centered programming, they transform routine care into moments of joy and connection. We are deeply grateful for their commitment to helping our residents truly live, not just exist!

Our Activities team consists of full-time, part-time, and a college student. Also included in the photo is our extra helper Levi, who enjoys helping and doing all the activities!

This month, we’re focusing on mental wellness and caregiver burnout awareness by educating families about an essential resource: Respite Care.

We loved celebrating the season with our residents and their families at our annual Christmas party! ❤️ Families joined their loved ones for a joyful afternoon filled with lunch, hot chocolate, festive crafts, and most importantly special quality time together.
