Headstones and monuments aren’t just for the immediate families of someone who has died – they're also beneficial for old friends and distant relations.

Memorial markers provide a physical place for anyone who has known someone who died to visit, which can help them come to terms with the death of someone they cared about. Plus, it can help them reflect on the time they spent with that person and remember the good moments they shared.

Allie Gomez

Allie Gomez ,52, of Waco passed away on March 4, 2026 at her daughter’s home surrounded by loved ones after battling Stage IV uterus and endometrial cancer. Services will be held on Thursday, March 12 at 6pm at Oak Crest Funeral Home. A mass will be held the following day at 10am at St.Francis officiated by Father Jazo.

Allie Gomez was born in July 31, 1973 to Fidel and Sandra Gomez who she will now be joining in heaven. Allie was outgoing person and loved everyone especially being around her family. She had her first child at 19 where she experienced her first tragic heartbreak after losing her first daughter, Angel, at birth. Allie was a hard worker and always provided for her family. A year later Allie soon was pregnant with her second child. God blessed her with her son Nicholas and she was so happy. She lived her life and decided to expand her family where she than had her daughter, Selena, 2 years later. It was short after she became a single mother. Despite the hard troubles and tribulations Allie went above and beyond to provide for her children as a single mother. She worked at many different jobs to be able to provide for her children. She loved making new friends and being around family. In June of 2015 that’s when she had her first grandson, Jace, who her daughter birthed and brought into the world. Allie soon had 3 grandchildren and she was happy all over again. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for those children. Everyone who knew Allie would know that her grandchildren were the only ones to replace her actual children and she would to war behind them.

Allie life was full of joy and happiness. She would always have a smiling or always be dancing. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her dedication, and her strong words.
