I am disappointed and astonished that I feel the need to comment on this type of thing. There’s so many people who want to practice medicine and want to make money, but they don’t want to actually go through the schooling in order to be good at this. And now we’re seeing entrepreneurs backing clinic ventures for this sole purpose of making money. Some have a heart for this but many do not.

for me, medicine is a calling I have felt since fifth grade. And my story is not unique amongst physicians. Most of us have known since we were very little that this is what we were supposed to do

Maybe you should look hard and fast in the mirror and decide that your care should come from somebody who actually went to school to be able to provide it. And quit going to the charlatans.

There are a variety of approaches that I use as we find the optimal treatment for our patients suffering from perimenopause symptoms.

One size all approaches are almost never appropriate, and I strongly suggest you don’t fall for inappropriate lab testing that does not help you.

I didn’t feel like remaking the video because I feel like I nailed it on the first take. But I need to make sure to inform you that there are plenty of nurse practitioners, PAs and primary care folks who have put quite a bit of time in learning how to give hormone replacement appropriately. It was wrong of me to leave them out.

We’ve had an explosion of Medi spas across the state of Texas and across the country. And I get it, it seems like a quick and easy way to break away from an employed setting and run your own business. So they go take a weekend course in Botox and fillers, go take a weekend course in hormone replacement, buy a few machines, and use a third-party “matchmaking service“ to find a medical director. And p**f, you open a business. oh I forgot another thing: often times these are businesses that are run by capital partners who have no connection to healthcare whatsoever.

now there are reputable people who try very hard to run good businesses and they take pride in what they do. So I’m certainly not condemning every business like this.

I am merely suggesting that you think twice before obtaining hormone therapy from somebody who has no real training or expertise

If you are on huge doses of testosterone, or you are requiring spironolactone to manage side effects, or noticing the pitch of your voice decreasing or uncontrolled hair growth or ge***al enlargement, you should consider making a change.

Large organizations have to protect themselves because they make juicy targets for attorneys. For that reason, they have to be careful with any public proclamations regarding healthcare. Makes total sense. So people like me and other independent voices have to continue to speak on the behalf of truth, knowledge, and standard medical practice.
