Some seasons ask more of us emotionally than we expect, and honestly speaking, this one has stretched me — personally and professionally.
There have been moments lately where the weight felt heavier than I wanted to admit. The kind where your mind spins, your energy dips, and even the things you love feel harder to carry.
I've carried the weight of health issues for family and friends. I've carried the stress of business ownership. I've carried the sorrow of friends who have lost loved ones. I've carried the responsibility of trying to be a good mom, a good friend, a good decision-maker, a good human.
All this weight has made my journey through life heavier than usual.
And when I feel myself slipping into a slump from that weight, movement is the fastest way back to myself.
Movement is how I can steady my body when life feels shaky. The physical stability always manages to steady my emotions, as well.
If you’re in a season like this too, first I want you to remember that you're not alone. In fact, I'm right there with you. Secondly, I want you to remember to move your body. Whether it's 5 minutes or 1 hour, movement is the medicine your body craves when chaos is having its way in your life.
