We’re more than just a private-duty nursing company. We’re family.
Private-duty nursing was a support system to COO and Co-Founder Natasha James that provided the critical care her son Tyler needed. This led to the founding of PALS Home Health.
Natasha’s twins were born 10 weeks early, both weighing under three pounds. With this, Natasha knew the NICU was now their temporary home but that they’d be reunited with her family soon.
With Kase going home over 2 months after delivery, the NICU remained Tyler’s home for over 9 months. He was diagnosed with a chronic lung disease called Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia. To come home, Tyler received multiple surgeries where a tracheostomy and gastrostomy tube were placed. He required a ventilator to help him breathe and the gastrostomy tube to receive nutrition and medications.
After 9 months in the NICU, Natasha could finally take Tyler home. Tyler received private-duty nursing services the day he was discharged from the NICU and continued on services for 6 years.
Natasha realized that she could channel her experience to give back to the community. She’s been there before and knows the challenges with insurance, medical supplies, equipment, therapies, doctor appointments and family care.
At PALS Home Health, we know the journey is hard. Healthcare staff coming into your home to care of your child and help you juggle the emotional strain of medical dependency isn’t easy. We want to make that journey as simple as possible so that our patients and their families can concentrate on the healing process.
PALS Home Health was built out of passion for providing exceptional nursing services to children while supporting the needs of their families.
