My favorite year celebrating this girl yet! She had her first art gallery theme party where instead of gifts, people bought her artwork! Jaxy worked hard for weeks making art for her party and had so much fun wrapping each piece up to send to their new home. Now it’s time to go shopping with her hard earned money! Happy 5th birthday Jaxy Jo!

I always end a Foot Reflexology session the same way…holding the solar plexus reflex point, which is centered under the ball of foot.

The solar plexus is a complex system of nerves and ganglia located behind our stomach. It is the center of the autonomic nervous system and forms some of the sympathetic nervous system. This area of our body is sensitive to emotions and feelings and often where you may feel them the most. If you have ever said “I have a gut feeling,” that is what I am talking about!

An imbalanced solar plexus can lead to difficulty concentrating, poor decision making, and a distorted self-image. Physically, imbalances can affect your stomach, digestive system, liver, pancreas, and nervous system, and all the muscles in the body. Basically, our solar plexus is important for helping us know our self-worth and helps us maintain physical health by storing and distributing energy throughout our physical bodies.

A common question I get is how often can you do reflexology? Whether you come in or do it at home, Reflexology is more effective the more you do it! The more you practice, the more your nervous system gets used to the communication between the points on your feet and the corresponding parts, organs and glands of the body. This will bring you to relax faster as well as getting all the amazing benefits quicker.

Time and budget will play a part as well, so at home reflexology is a great choice too.

If you haven’t booked an appointment lately and have been wanting to..here is your sign!

April is Stress Awareness Month and it is important to know the effects stress can have on our bodies so we can try to manage or prevent it.

Our body is made to handle small doses of stress, but when it becomes long-term and more frequent, it puts a negative effect on our body. One of the first things our muscles do when stressed is tense up all at once. When they are constantly tense, it puts tension on our shoulders, neck, and head. This can cause headaches, migraines, and back pain. Stress contributes to inflammation, weight gain, fatigue, constipation, irritability, heart disease, anxiety and depression. There are many ways to deal with stress, including self-care. Reflexology and the Foot Detox bath are both great ways to allow the body to reach a state of relaxation and give your nervous system a break. You owe it to yourself and the ones you love to take the time for self-love and care to stay healthy and happy.

Other ways to manage stress:

- Go on walks
- Turn off the news and social media
- Take a few moments to focus on deep breathing
- Exercise
- Massage and Acupuncture
- Yoga and meditation
- Take small breaks at work
- Practice love and forgiveness
- Try to let go of things out of your control

pH measures how acidic or alkaline a substance is. Keeping your pH level balanced in your body is critical for maintaining a healthy immune system and balancing everyday functions. Having an imbalanced level in your body can be linked to illness, certain diseases, and other health conditions that can range from mild to very serious. Some common causes of a pH imbalance are due to stress and toxins. These imbalances can occur from what we ingest in our body and from particles in our environment. Doing an ionic foot detox bath helps to remove some of these harmful toxins as well as to relax our nervous system to improve the body’s pH levels toward alkaline. An alkaline body is crucial to a person’s health as illness and disease thrive in an acidic environment.

Snow mold is common in Minnesota starting around this time of year. Snow mold is under the snow and when it starts to melt it releases spores into the air. This can cause allergies and all the annoying symptoms that come along with it. Itchy eyes, runny nose and sneezing. It’s a great time to come in for ear candling. It won’t take your allergies away… it will however, help relieve the symptoms!

It is out there that a Foot Detox bath is not credible mainly because people say the water turns brown even without your feet in the bath. Well, they would be right! The water will change to a light brown regardless if your feet are in the water or not. The water changes color naturally because of the chemical reaction between the electricity and the salt water. It may however, get darker and thicker because of the toxins and heavy metals getting pulled out through the pores of your feet.

Come cleanse your body and try it out for yourself!
