⭐ Introducing Our New Service Excellence Award ⭐

We’re proud to launch the Service Excellence Award, created to recognize teams who go above and beyond for our patients.

Kathy (RN), Shelly (RN), and Dr. Jodi Greenlaw acted with urgency and coordination while providing calm reassurance. This team worked seamlessly together to stabilize them, allowing our family the opportunity to say goodbye. Their expertise was evident throughout the time they were in the ED.

The nomination:
"I am writing to recognize the exceptional care a family member received in the Emergency Department at Astera Health. During what was an exceptionally stressful and uncertain time, the ED staff demonstrated professionalism, kindness, and most importantly, compassion and outstanding care. Their steadfast approach made a profound difference to our family.

Kathy (RN), Shelly (RN), and Dr. Jodi Greenlaw acted with urgency and coordination while providing calm reassurance. This team worked seamlessly together to stabilize them, allowing our family the opportunity to say goodbye. Their expertise was evident throughout the time they were in the ED.

The ED is often a place where people experience some of the most frightening, catastrophic moments of their lives. This team not only provided excellent medical care, but they also exhibited empathy and understanding throughout an arduous situation. They cared. Their treatment and actions exemplified the very best of healthcare and healthcare professionals.

Our family will be forever grateful for the care our family member received at Astera Health. I am so thankful their last lucid moments were with this group of people. This team is an example of why we can trust our healthcare professionals. I request that Astera Health recognize the extraordinary work this team does day in and day out."
