Thank you to all who came out and participated in our 2025 Wreaths Across America ceremony on Saturday, December 13th. A special thank you to the Anson County Schools JROTC cadets who posted and retired the colors during our ceremony and helped place wreaths on veteran graves.
Unfortunately we did not have enough wreaths purchased to cover all of the veterans' graves this year, but we will hope to have more sold for next year.

Tuesday night we held our Forever Tree Lighting for Anson County at Leavitt Funeral Home. Pastor Anita Thompson spoke to those in attendance about offering Peace during the Christmas season. While Pastor Lenora Bennett and Evangelist Brenda Pratt shared their beautiful voices as they sang such heartfelt solos. In addition to those mentioned above we would like to thank Joyce Burr, Pianist, Kristina Leyden, Jessica Mims, Nia Jones, and Julie Woody for their parts in the service as well. We appreciate all of you who came out for the service.
We placed ornaments on the tree in Honor and Memory of loved ones and lighted candles in remembrance as we read off the names of those individuals. We hope that the ceremony offered some peace, hope, and comfort as we enter into this holiday season.
A special thanks goes out to Ken Caulder and everyone at Leavitt Funeral Home for opening their beautiful facility to us for this event and to our hospice staff and volunteers for working to make sure everything was done for this special service.

In need of some grief support?
Join us tomorrow at our Hospice Haven in Rockingham.

Tomorrow, September 6th, at 10am, Richmond County Hospice and Richmond County Memorial Park will host our monthly Grief Support group in the family room of Hospice Haven.
This group is free of charge and open to all members of the community, it is not limited to the families of hospice patients.
If you would like to be a part of a group of people who are experiencing similar circumstances and emotions- please join us as we offer support and encouragement to each other and provide tools to help as you navigate your personal grief journey. Refreshments are provided. For additional information, please contact a member of our Bereavement Team at 910-997-4464.
