At Wading River Physical Therapy, we have one goal: To get you better

Mission

To provide, in an ethical and forthright manner, individualized therapeutic physical therapy and rehabilitative services and to promote health and wellness in a welcoming atmosphere of clinical excellence and patient advocacy. We provide physical therapy and rehabilitation services for people suffering from a variety of orthopedic and neurological conditions, recovering from auto- and work-related injuries, or rehabilitating after surgery. We also provide specialized sports physical therapy for injured athletes. Pain control is an important aspect of physical therapy. Emphasizing a hands-on approach (also known as manual therapy), therapeutic exercises, and a variety of other modalities (treatments), we work to help you reach your functional goals and reduce your pain. Our staff doesn’t believe in “one size fits all.” We work with you and your physician to set goals and develop treatment plans that are right for you – the ones that meet your specific needs and return you to optimal functioning. Since 2002, Wading River Physical Therapy has been privileged to serve the communities of Long Island's North Shore and continues in the aim to help people in their recovery to return to a pain-free and improved quality of life after injuries, illness or surgery. We provide each and every patient with the same personal care and service we expect for ourselves and our loved ones. When you come to Wading River Physical Therapy, you’re not just a patient, you’re one of the family. Wading River Physical Therapy is owned and operated by Walter VanCura, PT. We have offices in Wading River and Miller Place

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

We are committed to the health and safety of our staff and patients.

Here at Wading River Physical Therapy, the health and safety of our patients and staff has always been our concern and during this current emerging pandemic we are working to reduce risks. We are monitoring updates to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 both locally and via the CDC. We are incorporating universal precautions in our daily service and treatment while using greater emphasis on preventive measures such as continually disinfecting equipment and working surfaces, encouraging patients to wash hands frequently, and using provided alcohol-based sanitizer (gloves are available for patients) to prevent the spread of disease.

If you are experiencing any of the common cold or flu like symptoms, we ask that you contact your physician, and reschedule your physical therapy appointment when you are feeling well. We are continuing to monitor the Coronavirus updates and will make any changes necessary to help keep our patients and staff healthy.

Sincerely,
Walter VanCura, PT, DPT
