We got word today that another sweet soul who has been a part do our treatment team passed the rainbow bridge.

At Paw Meadows, some members of the treatment team had four legs, big ears, and the gentlest hearts you could imagine. Ben was one of those rare souls.

With his kind eyes, soft nose, and famously woolly coat, Ben brought smiles to countless visitors, clients, and kids who walked through the barn doors. Whether he was greeting people in the aisle or simply being his steady, peaceful self, Ben reminded us that presence, gentleness, and a little bit of horse hair can go a long way in making someone feel better.

Though his time with us was only a couple of years, the impact he made will last much longer. Ben leaves behind a barn full of friends—human and animal alike—who were lucky to know him and to feel the calm kindness he carried with him.

Run free, sweet Ben. The pastures are wide, the grass is always green, and you will always be part of the Paw Meadows family.
