As we prepare to welcome our little girl into the world, I have paused doing riding lessons and EFL sessions. It’ll definitely be weird to not see my amazing clients for some time and I will for sure miss everyone! I am just so thankful for all who come out to the ranch, whether it’s been one time or I get to see you weekly - YOU make all the hard work so rewarding and fun!!

So grateful to have Brian as my partner at the ranch! Being 8 months pregnant means I can’t do all of the things I usually do around here, and Brian has selflessly and enthusiastically stepped up - including letting his wife teach him how to trim the horses hooves. He’s getting pretty good at it!

I’m not much of a photographer so I didn’t get any pictures of the horses in the snow, so you’ll just have to take my word for it that they looked beautiful!
They’ve been having lots of fun playing in the snow! I love hearing the sound of their hooves crunching through the snow and looking at them through my window!

Of course I’m also super grateful for this amazing herd!! Riding a horse you own and connecting with your own horse is a beautiful, natural, fun thing! But this group takes it even further:

Not all horses can be lesson horses - having lots of learning people riding them, having to take care of different types of riders, having to figure out what each new person is communicating. But I am so happy to see how this group has grown into that role.
Not all horses can do therapeutic/emotional work - connecting with lots of different people, in lots of different situations, helping to carry the burdens we bear. But I am so proud of this herd and how they have stepped up into that responsibility.

I never imaged I’d be so lucky to own 6 horses, let alone that each would be so amazing. I’ll never get tired of looking out my window and getting to see these beauties.
