Christmas came early for Ms. Shirley! 🎁✨

With her son in town and heading home tonight, she couldn’t wait to open her Angel Tree gifts! Shirley wanted to be sure her generous Angel Tree family was thanked from the bottom of her heart — they truly picked the perfect gifts!

She was especially excited about her cozy new blankets (her favorite! 🥰), and her son helped her load her new CDs into her CD player so she could enjoy them right away. Moments like these are what the season is all about. ❤️

🎄😇 The Waters of Wakarusa Angel Trees 😇🎄

This holiday season, The Waters of Wakarusa is excited to host two Angel Trees to help bring joy to our residents—one right here in our facility and a second tree out in the community!

🎄Tree #1: Our In-Facility Angel Tree
Located inside The Waters of Wakarusa, this tree includes Angel cards for many of our residents.
Each card includes:
· The residents’ age and gender
· A short Wishlist
· A resident number (at the top)
This number helps our staff identify the resident you are shopping for.
If you pull a tag from our in-house tree and have questions, we are always here to help!

🎄Tree #2: Community Angel Tree at New To You Consignment Store
We are also grateful to New to You Consignment for partnering with us and displaying a second Angel Tree for community members who want to join in the giving.
The cards on this community tree follow the same format and support residents chosen specifically for this outreach.

🎁 Gift Drop-Off Information
Please drop off gifts for either tree by:
December 23rd
Before 4:30 PM
The Waters of Wakarusa – Front Office
Gifts will be secured safely so Santa can deliver them to the residents on Christmas!

First, to our incredible team — every CNA, nurse, dietary worker, and each person in between — thank you for everything you do to enhance the lives of our residents each and every day. Your dedication and heart never go unnoticed.

A special thank you to our Administrator and DON for leading with such care and compassion. We appreciate you more than words can say.
