The sweetest little Valentine’s Day visitor! ❤️

Our residents here at The Waters of Wakarusa got the most special surprise — a 6-day-old baby lamb! She completely stole the show, and our residents and staff absolutely loved every minute of cuddles and smiles she brought. 💕

A big thank you to Mike Wolfe for also coming in and performing, it really brightened our day!

Please join us in celebrating our amazing Activity Director, Tami Thompson, who we honored during ! 🎉

Tami is celebrating two years as an Activities Director and began her journey at The Waters of Wakarusa SNF in September 2025. In such a short time, she has already made a meaningful impact on our residents and team! 💙

Making residents happy and keeping them active is the favorite part of her day — and it truly shows in the energy and enthusiasm she brings. Her favorite activity? Balloon volleyball! 🎈🏐 A resident favorite that always brings smiles and laughter.

Tami, thank you for your dedication, positivity, and heart. We are so grateful for all you do to help our residents live well each day! 🌟

And thank you to Laura from Dunes Hospice, for providing Olive Garden lunch for our Activities staff to help celebrate them!

Our residents absolutely love opening mail, and they’ll be tracking each letter as it arrives, pinning states on the map and celebrating the love coming in from across the country. 📬

We are so grateful for Tami Thompson, SNF Activities Director; Jan Artley, Activities Assistant; and Karen Carden, ALF Activities Director, whose dedication, creativity, and heart bring meaningful moments and joy to our residents every single day. 💖

They kicked off their week of celebration the best way — with a yummy breakfast — and we couldn’t think of a more deserving team to celebrate! Thank you all for everything you do to make our community such a special place. 🌟
