Our services include comprehensive hearing evaluations, hearing aids, hearing protection, and custom earmolds. When fitting hearing aids, we perform Real Ear Measurements to ensure the hearing aids are targeting your specific needs. We accept most insurance plans, and we offer financing through Wells Fargo Health Advantage. You may also schedule a complimentary consultation with the audiologist if you just want to discuss your concerns before scheduling an evaluation. We know you have choices in hearing care providers, and we'll work hard to earn your trust.

🍸 That’s called the cocktail party effect, and it’s one of the amazing gifts of hearing! Our brains are wired to help us pick out the voices that matter most, even in a sea of sound. This season, as you mingle at office parties, family dinners, or cookie swaps, take a moment to appreciate that incredible ability!

🦃 Happy Thanksgiving! 🥧

🍂 This season always reminds me to slow down and reflect on the things that matter most. At Wake Audiology, here’s what we’re thankful for:

🤝 The kindness, laughter, and stories shared in our office every day.

🥧🍗 Holiday gatherings can get loud (and not just from Uncle Bob’s football commentary). If you’ve got a loved one with hearing loss, here are some easy ways to make the table feel more welcoming:

👂 Turn down the background noise
TV off, turkey carving on. The game can wait until after pie.

👥 One at a time, please
Think “family meeting,” not “rowdy debate club.” Overlapping voices = loud chaos. (We appreciate for some families this is easier said than done 😆)

🗣️ Speak clearly (not louder)
No need to yell across the table, it’s not an auction! Face them and let your expressions help.

🍽️ Strategic seating
Put them next to the family member who is patient and includes everyone…not next to the loud cousin who dominates conversation.

♻️ Rephrase instead of repeat
If “pass the gravy” didn’t land, try “hand me that saucy stuff.” Fresh wording works better than shouting the same line again.

Little tweaks = big difference. Because holidays should be about connection, not confusion. 💛

Last week we celebrated Halloween, and also said “see you later” to Dr. Dorsey!
Dr. Dorsey spent 2 years with Wake Audiology and now she is moving back home to Ohio. Thank you, Dr. Dorsey for becoming part of our Wake Audiology family.

✨So far, Spirit Week at Wake Audiology has been a blast! We started out Monday with Collegiate day- wearing our favorite team shirt! On Tuesday, we had our Luau day (even with the rainy, gloomy weather). We are having lots of fun today celebrating Disney day!

😧 I’ll be honest…taking the first step toward treating hearing loss can feel scary. Change always does.

I’ve had so many patients tell me they were nervous to walk through the door because they weren’t sure what to expect… Would the investment be worth it? Would hearing aids actually help? Would they feel “old” if they wore them?

I get it. That fear is real. But here’s what I’ve also seen: once they take that first step, they realize they weren’t stepping into fear, they were stepping into freedom. Freedom to connect, to laugh without guessing the punchline, to fully live in the moment again.

👉 “Courage is not the absence of fear, but the decision that something else is more important.”
