SFC CLINTON JAMES BONNELL, US ARMY, RET. Obituary
SFC Clinton “Clint” James Bonnell a native of Austin, Texas, and newly retired Green Beret, had his life prematurely ended on January 27, 2025.
Clint retired from the Army on December 31, 2024, as a Special Forces Medical Sergeant.
Clint’s military awards and decorations include: Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (2 OLC), USN Commendation Medal, Meritorious Unit Command, Iraq Campaign Medal w/Campaign Star, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (3rd Award), Army Service Ribbon, Special Forces Tab, Military Freefall Parachutist Badge, Parachutist Badge.
Clint was an amazing human with a brilliant mind. His selflessness and leadership were unmistakable as a Special Forces Medic and carried over from his Army career easily as he transitioned into his studies at Methodist University into their Physician Assistant Program. Clint will forever be remembered for his gifts of playing the guitar and singing as well as his passion for health and wellness which included practicing yoga and his love of the outdoors and hiking.
Clint is survived by his parents, Steve and Sylvia Bonnell, his sister Stefanie Firkins and her husband Sky, nieces Kinley and Kyla Herron, and was a proud and loving stepdad to Razzie Cloud.
A private service with military honors will be held at Bright Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
