Are we actually teaching our teens critical thinking or just feeding them the facts we want them to believe?

Here's what I learned: Teenagers often come with tunnel vision from reading too much online: they get pretty upset, feeling helpless and angry.

Sometimes they don’t yet have the perspective to see the bigger picture. That’s where we come in. The goal isn’t just to fill their heads with knowledge, but to give them space to talk, think, and expand their view.

Encouraging conversation helps them develop the wisdom they'll need for life’s toughest moments—like feeling overwhelmed or discouraged. This isn’t about control; it’s about planting seeds that grow with them.

Join us Monday, 30 March for this important conversation. The Hey Tabi Podcast is on all major podcast platforms & The Journey and The Process YouTube channel.

Drop a 🔥 if you think it's time we focus on wisdom, not just info.

Ever notice how hard it is for people to truly speak their pain... especially when it's a kiddo to a parent?

Drop a ❤️ if you believe honest conversations can heal long-standing wounds.

When a kiddo opens up, they’re likely not attacking; they’re hoping for connection and change. Imagine the relief on both sides when honesty becomes the bridge, not the barrier, to deep relationship. In this culture where estrangement is higher than ever, allowing space to process together can be a real game changer.

Join me as I chat with Beth Broom about this and so much more on Monday's Hey Tabi Podcast. Premiers Monday, 30 March 2026 on all major podcast platforms & The Journey and The Process YouTube channel.

When we’re hurting, it’s easy to think, “Is God mad at me?” or “Did I do something wrong?” But what if suffering isn’t punishment, but part of God's redemptive plan? Beth Broom’s new devotional explains suffering in a way kids, teens, and adults can understand.

Beth emphasizes that God’s near, His love is unwavering, and we’re never meant to walk this road alone. Encouraging honesty and community, she shares practical ways to help children process pain.

Don't miss three of our FABULOUS providers talk about this important topic!

Join us tomorrow (Wednesday) at 3 PM EST for a powerful and practical conversation on grounding techniques with counselors Amanda Ramey, Norma Digeso, and Jacque Escue.

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, emotionally flooded, or disconnected after stress or trauma—you’re not alone. In this panel, we’ll gently unpack what grounding really means and why it’s such an essential tool for healing.

We’ll talk about:
• How emotional dysregulation shows up in everyday life
• Simple, practical grounding techniques you can use immediately
• How grounding helps you think clearly, respond (instead of react), and reconnect with truth
• The role grounding plays in deepening your connection with God
• How these tools are woven into the retreat experience

This conversation is for any woman seeking peace, clarity, and a way back to herself when life feels overwhelming.

✨ Come as you are. Leave with tools you can carry into real life.

All our interviews are live on our YouTube channel and later uploaded to Facebook.

Knowledge: I know a tomato is a fruit. 🍅
Wisdom: I'm still not gonna put it in the fruit salad.
There's a difference. 💛

"Nice girls end up in trunks." 😳 My supervisee said that to me, and I haven't stopped thinking about it since. And I've repeated it to clients more times than I can count now!

There's a difference between being nice and being kind, and confusing the two can literally put you in danger.

Niceness is others-regulated. It needs approval to survive. It collapses under pressure.
Kindness is self-sourced. It tells the truth. It can say no and still be loving.

In Monday's episode I'm breaking down why being "sweet and small" ISN'T the same as being kind, plus I break down the skill that helps you speak up without feeling like a villain.

Drop a 🚙 if you were raised to be nice at all costs. Let's talk about it.

A boundary isn't "you can't talk to me that way." An actual boundary is "I don't like it when you criticize my hair. Please stop. If you don't stop, I'm gonna dip." Essentially, you say, "Here's what I'm okay with and what I'm not okay with. You can talk to me however you want, I just won't be there for it if it's outside of what I'm okay with."

That's the difference between trying to control someone else and taking care of yourself. Boundaries don't change other people. They change what you allow in your life. 💛

If you were raised to be nice above all else — to smile, to accommodate, to never make anyone uncomfortable, this episode is for you.

Because the thing they called your greatest "gift?" It may be the thing making you the most unsafe.

Niceness and kindness are not the same thing. This week we break down the difference. 💛

Niceness avoids the hard conversation.
Kindness has it anyway.
Because real love tells the truth. 💛

03/22/2026

This one's for the girl, now woman, who was taught that being "good" meant never saying no. As my supervisee said, "Nice girls end up in trunks..." The trunk is not your destiny. 💛

But we have to learn what kindness looks like, and it includes learing to assert a healthy boundary before we need one desperately.
