Thank you to all our patients for their patience during this new wave of COVID-19. We know that the guidance available can be somewhat confusing. The grid that we use in the office is posted below so you and your family can understand the CDC recommendations in an easier fashion. Our call volume is extremely high so please be patient with us as we work through the next few weeks.

We have flu shots in for ages 1-18! We will be having flu clinics on Tuesdays from 1-4, please call the office to make an appointment. Due to COVID-19, we will be making 5 minute appointments per patient. 781-245-2203

We are monitoring the public health situation very closely. We know that you have questions about your children and your families and we are available to you at any time. Recommendations are changing daily and we are keeping up with them as they are evolving.

At this time, if your child is exposed to a known person who has tested positive for COVID-19, please call our office for information about the next steps to take. The CDC website has great and up to date information about COVID-19. Thank you for your patience as we work through this challenge together. As always, our priority is the health and well-being of our patient and their families.

We are pleased to welcome our new Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Nisha Drummond, to our practice. Nisha has received her Bachelor’s Degree at Cornell University and then successfully completed her BSN, RN and then the Master’s of Nursing program at Regis College in Weston, MA. Nurse Practitioners diagnose and treat illnesses, and are able to order and interpret tests, write prescriptions, and do many common in-office procedures. NPs have a unique focus on wellness and preventative care, and work well in partnership with their patients.

We conducted a thorough search and are very glad to have found Nisha. She started August 22 and she has already been a valuable addition to our team. Nisha can handle a wide range of primary care problems in children ages 0-21. Initially, she will be available to see same-day sick visits, but as her own practice grows, she will help patients manage complex cases in addition to well care. She has a special interest in teenage problems and orthopedics.

With the addition of a new provider, existing patients may worry that they won’t be able to see Dr. Gorlovsky or Dr. Wang anymore. We are committed to maintaining access to all providers and treating your children with a team-based approach. In fact, this is one of the driving forces for bringing in a new provider. This allows us to keep wait times for appointments at a steady state. If you want to see someone specific in the office, you will be able to – just be sure to schedule your well visits at least a month in advance. Nisha will be available to those who want to get in more quickly or have an urgent need when we are unavailable. If you want to choose Nisha as your primary care provider, just let us know.

With Nisha’s help, we are looking forward to spending more quality professional time with patients and families, guiding them in all aspects of high-standard Pediatric Medicine.
