Exciting News!!
We are beyond honored to announce this mindful collaboration with our dear friends, the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation.
We proudly announce a transformative new partnership bringing a series of curated yoga, mindfulness, and wellness classes to the Gloria Gemma Center for Cancer Survivorship & WellBeing in Lincoln, Rhode Island.
Through this collaboration, we will deliver specialized wellness programs that focus on restoration, mindfulness, movement, and community connection - all designed to meet the unique physical and emotional needs of individuals navigating cancer treatment and survivorship.

“This partnership represents a shared commitment to restoring balance and nurturing the mind, body, and spirit,” said Maria Gemma, Executive Director of the Gloria Gemma Foundation. “Together, we’re creating a space where survivors can reconnect with themselves, rebuild strength, and rediscover peace through guided movement and mindfulness.”

Classes will be led by certified All That Matters instructors and held in the Movement Studio of the new Gloria Gemma Center for Survivorship & WellBeing in Lincoln RI.
Offerings will include gentle yoga, meditation, breathwork, and guided relaxation, encouraging participants to explore personal wellness and empowerment throughout their survivorship journey. Yoga and wellness classes offered through this partnership will be free of charge for patients and survivors, ensuring that everyone facing a cancer diagnosis has access to healing resources without financial barriers. Family members, caregivers, and supporters will also be invited to participate for a small program fee, helping sustain the initiative while keeping it accessible to all. Our monthly live music series rolls on….
KIRTAN: A SACRED MUSIC + CHANTING EXPERIENCE with local yogis and musician friends, SANGITA SISTERS.

The next session is Saturday, November 1st from 6:00-7:30pm in our new expanded space, The Shala at All That Matters yoga + wellness, 329 Main Street, Wakefield Village.

Bhakti Yoga is the yoga of devotion and is often practiced via kirtan – or chanting.
Kirtan is a call and response of Sanskrit chants or mantras. The chanting is accompanied by guitar, drums, and often a harmonium. Songs are simple – just a few lines repeated over, and over, and over. In the repeating of these words, something truly magical happens; the pranic body begins to awaken.

Sangita Sisters believe in the power of Kirtan to unite hearts and elevate spirits. Their voices weave together in harmony, inviting participants into a space of connection, surrender, and joy. Whether leading a group in ecstatic call-and-response chanting or offering gentle, meditative melodies, they infuse every gathering with love and devotion.

*There is a limited pool of funds available for anyone who might need some financial support to be able to attend this event. Please call or email the front desk at 401.409.2121 or info@allthatmatterswellness.org to inquire.

Resilience is the process and outcome of successfully adapting to challenging life experiences, especially through mental, emotional, and behavioral flexibility and adjustment to external and internal demands.

How can yoga promote resilience?
The physical, mental, and spiritual practice of yoga helps individuals face large or small challenges so that they can flow with greater ease with what is happening. The key to building stress resilience and increasing health and happiness is embracing what IS- rather than clinging to how things “should” be.

Yoga provides an opportunity to examine how you respond to physical, and mental challenges and to create healthy responses. In this way, yoga allows one to make use of the wonderful gift of neuroplasticity-your brain’s ability to change itself. The better your brain and mind are at adapting to change, the easier it becomes to meet stress head-on. The trick is to befriend change and embrace the wobbling. This is resilience.

Join Marjie in this 4-week program Saturday mornings, November 1-22; it’s for everybody and every body – whether you are new or experienced in yoga. Classes are 90 minutes long with suggested pose and breath practices to be done at home.
Develop your body awareness while building balance, strength, bone health, and flexibility, in the spirit of cultivating equanimity in the face of life’s ups and downs.
