We are so happy to have Christina back on our team!
Christina Grandoni-Barlow (she/they) grew up on the north shore of MA and attended Berklee College of music where she graduated with a bachelor’s of music in music therapy.
She completed her internship in an inner-city public school system in New Jersey, learning about music therapy and special education in a district with a unique student services model.
Christina has worked in a variety of settings including schools, adult day programs and in client’s homes and has a wide range of experience with various age groups and diagnoses.
Christina supports clients with person-centered, identity affirming methods that focus on the client and meeting them wherever they are, in the moment, to create meaningful interactions through music play, composition, improvisation, discussion and more.
Christina believes that music can look different for everyone and that an open mind is truly the most crucial tool to bring to any music therapy session.
She has already started to lead sessions in group homes and looks forward to meeting more clients soon!
