Our emotional support and self-discovery programs are designed to provide couples with the emotional and physical wellness tools they need to feel hopeful, inspired, and guided on their journey to parenthood and beyond. Organic Conceptions has reimagined the preconception care model, putting emotional wellness at the center of care for those trying to expand their families. We analyze the latest data-backed cognitive-behavioral techniques and technology to optimize our client's emotional health and well-being. Our emotional support and self-discovery program is designed to help individuals recognize where they are in their journey, take control, and navigate to a safe harbor. With this program, you will learn to manage emotional challenges, create lasting lifestyle changes, and learn science-backed mindfulness skills to reduce stress and feel better. These practices help to calm the mind and create ease in the body which helps to address somatic changes on the journey to parenthood. Additionally, we have created the Fertile Mindset™️, which focuses on evidence-based cognitive-behavioral techniques, nutrition, and overall wellness to optimize your emotional, physical, and mental health for conception. Extending additional mental and emotional support during a crisis like COVID-19 and the strain of undergoing fertility treatment can enhance the patient experience and improve outcomes. We aim to partner with like-minded companies, practitioners, groups, and more to give patients a way to manage the emotional stress that comes with fertility challenges. Our goal is to restore emotional health and vitality to those trying to conceive, providing courses, community, and professional care that support one's entire journey of family building. Hope, inspiration, and guidance for those people struggling to conceive.

It's time for a mid-week reminder: You are enough!

There's a lot to love about you. Recognizing that is being kind with your body, gentle with your mind, and patient with your heart.

In the fertility space, unless someone is facing a setback, it's so important to talk about mental health.

During fertility treatments, the focus is often on a patient’s physical body. It makes sense – they're trying to get pregnant. And while providers may lend a sympathetic ear to how scary, stressful and often disheartening infertility is, it doesn’t become the main conversation until something serious happens – like a miscarriage or failed treatment.

But what if we switched that around?

What if we focused on the mental health and emotional wellness aspect of infertility from the beginning so that when a setback does come, it isn’t devastating? What if, from the moment someone starts fertility care, your clinic can give them the tools and resources they need to handle the difficulties of the journey so that setbacks are difficult, but they have the ability to get back up?

Why is emotional self-care so important for fertility providers?

In the world of fertility medicine, providers confront a lot of emotionally difficult situations. When a regular part of the job is telling people they’ve had a miscarriage, a treatment wasn’t successful, or they have a condition that causes infertility, it’s taxing for even the most seasoned professionals. It can even make people want to leave the profession they love.

Emotional Self Care helps bolster your own emotional health so you can continue to provide the services you love, without harming yourself in the process.

Not feeling your best? Try this mini mental health booster and see if it helps...

Say good things out loud! Tell someone what you are excited, hopeful, or grateful for. Outwardly expressing this positivity has an automatic mood-lifting quality.

You cannot experience two opposite emotions at the same time, so try using this trick to boost your mood. 🧡

So, what exactly is fertility coaching anyway?

Fertility coaches can help to guide you through your infertility journey after you receive your diagnosis from your physician. Essentially, fertility coaches are there to offer support as you navigate what comes next. They look at the whole person — not just your infertility diagnosis.

Here are some areas a fertility coach might help with:
-Guidance about optimizing your diet for conception
-Tips for stress management
-Tools to help you cope with how you perceive and think about your diagnosis
-A sounding board when you need to make a treatment decision

Fertility coaches can be there to answer the questions that feel impossible to answer on your own. Instead of spending hours on the internet searching for possible solutions, you can go straight to your fertility coach for personalized support.

When we talk about self-care, we aren't just talking about taking a nice bubble bath. (Although that doesn't hurt either.)

We're talking about giving yourself the support, space and opportunity to work through the emotions you're going through. Whether it's through journaling, a quiet meditation session or an intentional conversation with a partner or trained professional, we know that the best way to take care of yourself is by facing what's causing you stress in the first place.

We don't want to distract you from what you're going through, we want to help you work through it.

Infertility is actually so common that about 1 in 8 couples in the United States have trouble getting pregnant. Oftentimes, well-meaning people offer advice to those experiencing infertility that may not always be true or helpful.

Today we're debunking 5 commonly heard fertility myths:

Myth 1: "Your health doesn’t impact fertility."
One of the largest factors of fertility health for men and women comes down to overall health— emotional, mental, and physical. You need to prepare both your mind and body for pregnancy by taking care of yourself before you plan to conceive.

Myth 2: "Fertility is a woman’s issue."
It takes two to make a baby. Infertility affects men and women equally. In fact, each s*x has its own set of symptoms that may suggest infertility.

Myth 3: "If you already have a child, you don’t have to worry about infertility."
Even if a person already has a child or children, they can experience difficulty in getting pregnant later. This is called secondary infertility, and it's more common than you might think.

Myth 4: "You need to try harder."
This myth generally only considers what happens physically when trying to conceive, but there’s a lot more to fertility than the actual act of trying. Saying people need to try harder can be frustrating and, ultimately, unproductive. Fertility is one of the things outside of our control, and regardless of how much a person "tries", they may need help from a fertility specialist to get to the end goal.

Myth 5: "Every fertility journey looks the same."
No journey is the same. Every path looks different, and each individual choice is valid. Some people conceive without intervention, some seek treatment from a fertility specialist, and others choose other paths to parenthood.
