4+ years I’ve been a birth assistant at Birthcare. I’ve been blessed to work with amazing midwives (CNMs, CPMs, CMs). I’ve enjoyed being their right hand (and sometimes their left) and supporting all their beautiful clients. So many stories and new souls brought into this world with the safety of the Birthcare midwives at bay. I hope to be able to pass along the knowledge and wisdom learned, through my journey ahead.

Happy 19th birthday to my first, .06!! Thank you for enduring as I walked and sometimes stumbled through motherhood for the first time. I’m so proud of you and love watching your journey of learning, living and rocking young adulthood. Love you! 😍

Sent this to a client and realized most people don’t have this information for their first trimester, as they are usually hiring providers and doulas later. The first trimester is the most important when it comes to building a strong foundation for your baby.

7 years ago this week, I finished my last round of radiation for my rare adenoid cystic carcinoma in my trachea (the mass literally blocked 75% of my breathing tube). This little guy will never know how much he helped me through this time. Being able to focus on his smiles was a blessing through it all.

As I get deeper into my clinical studies with school and my awesome preceptor at Del Ray Midwifery, I need to take a break from doula and birth assistant clients. Will be back in 2026! Those of you who have booked already will be supported!! Belly blessings. 💜

This is beyond ridiculous… and criminal.

Unlike Norway and some other peer nations, “the US has a maternal care workforce shortage problem, which is only supposed to get worse,” said Munira Gunja, lead author of the report and senior researcher at the International Program in Health Policy and Practice Innovations at the Commonwealth Fund.

The United States continues to have a higher rate of women dying in pregnancy, childbirth or postpartum compared with all other high-income nations, even despite recent declines in the US maternal death rate, a new report shows.
