To our friends in and around Cedar Rapids:

It’s with the heaviest souls and broken hearts that we, IHRC staff, volunteers, & Board Members, have to announce the closing of our Cedar Rapids, IA office as of June 1, 2022.

Thank you to the incredible folx who supported us and our friends on this 4-year journey. Our physical space may no longer be a part of your community nonetheless, we stay committed to our Eastern Iowa friends. We hope that this transition from a physical space to mobile outreach & deliveries is temporary. Our hotline is still available to schedule appointments for deliveries of life saving supplies around the corridor. Community members and friends are urged to call/text at 319-214-0540 and please be patient with us in this time of change.

We will still be here educating, advocating, and supporting drug user & SWer health services in Iowa.

Due to medical leave- Silver Lining will not be providing services from August 11th until August 31st. If you need an evaluation, please call after August 31st to get scheduled. Friends and clients of Silver Lining, Executive Director, Jen Kositzky, was hospitalized at the beginning of the week and it is unknown when she will be released. She is not completing evaluations or treatment sessions until she is released. Please be patient and know that your care continues to be a priority.

CEDAR RAPIDS - About three years ago, the Cedar Rapids Police Department brought on a crisis intervention counselor to work as a law enforcement liaison and help officers with calls involving people with mental health issues.
