Yesterday made 1 year since we found out about Mikayla's mass. Today is a year from her first biopsy. It has been a wild crazy ride, but she has been doing ok. She is going to see a neurologist tomorrow for her seizures and neuro symptoms. They have decided she will do her last 3 treatments inpatient so if anything happens she has help at the push of the button. She will have another PET scan soon to make sure the chemo is working. She is still fighting and won't stop until she beats this for good!! She still needs all the thoughts and prayers she can get. Mikayla don't forget you are a fighter and kicked cancer's ass once; I know you'll do it again. I love you!

Our girl is all smiles and feeling SO much better! Finally got a medicine combo that keeps the nauseau and vomiting under control and fluids to keep her hydrated! So thankful she is feeling better!! Thanks for all the prayers, keep em coming!!

After 2 nights in the hospital they have finally gotten her nauseau and vomiting under control enough to give her her second dose of her first round of chemo! They are sending her home with 3 days of IV fluids to make sure she doesn't get dehydrated again. They have also added 3 nausea meds to make sure she doesn't get sick. She will follow up with Dr. Deyo on Monday. Keep those prayers coming, still have a long road ahead of us!

Our girl ended up back in the hospital last night from being so sick. Nothing seems to be helping and she is miserable. Yall say some prayers that they can get her some relief so she can continue these treatments.

Day 1 done, she did really well! Hopefully she won't have any side effects or issues tonight. She goes back for the second dose of the first round tomorrow at 10:30. Keep those prayers coming. Still a long ways to go, but I know she's got this!!! We love you Mikayla!!

So the ball is finally rolling! She had her PET scan and visit with Dr. Deyo yesterday. There are no more spots and the spot in her hip has only gotten slightly larger. She will have 6 rounds of outpatient chemo, 1 round is 2 days then she'll wait 3 weeks or so to let her numbers come back up before the next round, after 3 rounds (about 3 months) she will have another scan to ensure treatment is working! It is a different kind this time, it is Hodgkins Lymphoma, not non-Hodgkins like the last go round. She will have to go to Memphis for an auto/self (stem cells from bone marrow) transplant towards the end of the treatment to help build everything back up. This treatment is a little more intensive since it is a recurrence so keep the prayers coming that she stays well and kicks ass like last time!

Surgery is done, all went well! Unfortunately, I had to leave but RJ, her dad, and my mom are there waiting to see her now! Thanks for all the prayers!

She is scheduled for her port placement on Halloween. Dr. Hansbrough's only requirement was she had to come in costume, lol! She has to arrive at 5, surgery at 7.

She will see Dr. Hansborough tomorrow morning for Pre-op for her port placement. I'll let yall know when that surgery is scheduled.

So we got biopsy results from Dr. Deyo this afternoon, and it is cancerous 😢 he was getting a plan together and getting all her docs on board. She will have a port placed again, and another PET scan to see if anymore spots have appeared soon. Please keep those prayers coming as we prepare for the battle ahead. She is gonna kick ass again, I just know it!

Please keep the prayers coming. I tell you one thing if I could have the strength and positivity this girl has.

She is out of surgery, in post-op, waiting to go home.... Unfortunately we have NO NEWS.... we were told we would know something today, then he came out and said no results, we have to wait on pathology... she is doing well and eating some goldfish! Hopefully we get to bust out of here soon. Thanks for the prayers, keep em coming as we wait on results.
