Winds will pick up later this afternoon into overnight tonight.

Today south winds will pick up to 15-20mph gusting to 30-40mph by late tonight. Tonight those winds will shift out of the west/northwest at 15-25mph gusting to 40mph across Indiana. Due to the wet and heavy nature of this snow, blowing and drifting is not a huge concern. Some areas may still experience some as temperatures drop tonight but it isnt expected to be as bad as what it would be with a much drier snow. However, *IF* temperatures trend colder drifting snd blowing my become more of an issue.

The combination of crashing temperatures and wet roadways into tomorrow morning raise concerns for flash freezing on roadways and especially untreated roadways.
