Please email WolffVetMeds@gmail.com. We will have a team watching that email address so you don’t have to wait!
Over the next few days let’s talk about different terms and items used in our protocol to get your girls AI’d!

Step1: the CIDR
Step 1: continued: CIDR applicator
Step 2: lute/estroplan/estrumate
Step 3: PG600
PG600 is an injectable hormone combination designed for swine to induce fertile estrus. It is used to synchronize breeding, reduce non-productive days, and improve performance. It is also very safe for use in other minor animal species such as sheep and goats.
PG 600 is labeled to be administered SQ, subcutaneously in swine. In sheep and goats we typically give intramuscularly in the neck area. We recommend using an 18 gauge 1 inch needle.
Research has shown the use of pg600 in sheep and goats tightens the window of the timing of ovulation in the population it is used. This is why it’s used at the time of cidr pull in the synchronization protocol and results in increased conception rates.
The package contains 2 bottles, a small one with a dry pill in the bottom and a much larger one with liquid. First, pull 3-5cc of liquid out and put into the small vial to reconstitute the dry pill, once mixed very well redraw the 3-5 cc of new concentration and add back into the larger bottle and mix throughly before drawing up the dose for your animal. A fully reconstituted vial is 25 cc.
Please note that the dose volume and cidr pull/concurrent pg600 administration timing need to be precisely determined by species and breed. Do not use the full 5cc swine dose*
Reconstituted solution must be refrigerated; unused mixed solution can be frozen in syringes for up to six months.
As with all fertility meds please be sure to wear proper protection, gloves, and be mindful not to stick yourself with the needle!
