As we welcome a new therapy company come April 1ST, today, we recognize and celebrate two truly special therapists/humans who have made a lasting impact on everyone here at Wellington Estates. Their kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication to our Residents will NEVER be forgotten. They brought not only skill and professionalism, but most importantly, heart. And that is what WE will all remember most. Lauren and Phil, please know this is not goodbye, just “see you later.” You will always have a place here, and you will ALWAYS be part of this wonderful Wellington family. Wishing you continued success and happiness in whatever comes next. And again, thank you for being so kind, caring, and truly aWEsome.

Take today: with Hank Williams playing on the overhead, Ed was completely in his element… guess you could say he was “Hankerin’” for a good time so he made one not only for himself, but all of us lucky enough to be within ear shot!!

Today is Denim Day for Dementia, and our residents (Assisted Living and Memory Care) and staff truly understood the assignment💙! WE all wore denim (or blue) to show our support for those living with dementia, as well as the families who love and care for them. This cause is especially meaningful to us because we are blessed with the most wonderful group of ladies and gentlemen in our Memory Care unit. Each day, they remind us why this work matters. It is truly an honor to care for them and walk beside them during a time when compassion, patience, and love are needed most. They are truly aWEsome!

BEST Assistant Director of Nursing Ever...keep dancing Jill! (P.S. At Wellington the residents pick the music that is played overhead, so depending on the day you come in, you could hear Frank or you could hear Hank; you may hear James Taylor, or you may hear Taylor Swift, Jill's fav and what got her dancing when no one was watching! As stated in the pic, Happy Staff equals Happy Residents and if "happy feet" are any evidence, we have the happiest staff there is!! Thank you, Jill, for all you do!!!! You are aWEsome!)

One of the many wonderful aspects of working in assisted living is moments like this: walking into work each morning and seeing this beautiful couple enjoying their post-breakfast downtime. How could you possibly have a bad day at work when your day starts like this?!
